This oceanfront home is about three blocks from Laguna Beach’s Main Beach and downtown’s Forest Avenue, with private steps to St Anne’s Beach - an excellent beach for children and adults alike to surf, swim, skimboard, stand-up paddle board, build sandcastles, and play beach games. You can see breathtaking panoramic views of the shimmering Pacific, Catalina Island, and out-of-this-world sunsets from either of its two ocean-view decks, living area, or main bedroom. Laguna Beach is known for its many art galleries, coves, and beaches and its small city feel. Main Beach features tide pools and a boardwalk leading to the paths and gardens of nearby Heisler Park. Aliso Beach Park is a popular surf spot, and the waters off Crystal Cove State Park are designated as an underwater park. Trails meander through coastal canyons in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. Laguna Beach was the final destination of our 12-day vacation in Southern CA, for 6 adults. Given the pictures, we were all looking forward to enjoying this beach house for our final 3 nights. What a disappointment. In fact, we all chose to cut our vacation short and leave a day early.The nicely pictured balcony was what we thought we were getting. What we got was splintered plywood with no furnishings. (If allowed, I will upload a photo of what it actually looks like.) Apparently, this construction was not new, because when we opened the balcony door, a swarm of ants and termites came in. Why this picture is still up on their website, and why this was never disclosed to us is ridiculous and rises to false advertising. Even being just steps from the beach and having beautiful sunsets, the negativities of the house were a distraction. Image if the weather did not cooperate and you were stuck in this house.There were a few upgrades, but this is an older home with a closed floorplan, no AC, and issues with the windows, doors & patio. Grandson fell when the screen door fell off. Shower door was falling off. They told us at 3:30 (check in is at 4) that the master balcony was under construction and to not let children on it. Very dangerous place. We did not stay there even one night. Property was clean, well equipped and available for check in at the appropriate time. Main concern was that one of the oceanfront decks was in a state of disrepair and unavailable for use. This was not disclosed. Also it took me many attempts to seek resolution to this problem. The condition of the home was clean but in need of deferred maintenance: the windows were difficult to open, the blinds were sticky, the stairs on the outside were patched together but in the most minimal way. Beds were comfortable and sheets and towels adequate. All plumbing worked. Decks were ok. My sister rearranged and ordered shelves and outdoor storage shed. Séjour de 5 nuits en novembre 2022 ### 4/10 – Médiocre #### Rob S. 24 juill. 2022 Points faibles : Propreté #### We had to end our vacation We had to end our vacation, cancel our family from visiting us, and depart ahead of schedule due to bed bugs and the sewer backing up into the shower. Our son has 2 1/2” round red bed bug bites on his arm. We had to wrap all of our luggage in black hefty plastic bags and we are still washing all of our bags and laundry including all shoes, backpacks, and clothing. The shower was filled with raw sewage and smelled horrible yesterday am. The owners should also be aware the main suite bed is very uneven and slants down toward headboard. The front 3 stories of wood stairs are in very bad shape. Loose steps, rotted steps, dry rot, and nails / screws are exposed. We stayed here in 2019 and again last week. We will not be returning after this visit. We have been waiting for going on 2 days with no call back from the local management.. ##### Rob S. We came down for UCI graduation. The condo was large enough to accommodate our family. It had a beautiful view of the beach with two separate balconies. The furniture could be updated.
