Place is relatively clean, staff could be friendlier and more available. The wait at the restaurant is beyond unacceptable, especially since it is a family resort (kids cannot wait 1 hr plus to get an entree). It is also very expensive in terms of breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The place was clean. The supper and breakfast was good. The heating and the ventilator did not work in the bathroom.

It has sauna and whirlpool inside and outside. Enjoyed them as relaxing after an outdoor activity. Great food at the restaurant and location is close to the two activities we plan to do at the area. They should change their pillows to more comfortable ones they have which does not have a good cushioning and saggy. The air/heater vent can wake you up if you are a light sleeper.

Lakeside retreat in snowcapped heartland

Great weekend retreat in nature, 20-minute highway drive from the city’s hustle and bustle. Winter wonderland with wonderful snowcapped scenery. Awesome indoor and outdoor spa: swimming, steam room, dry saunas, jacuzzis. Three outdoor hot tubs (jacuzzi option) with inukshuk décor and lake/mountain view that reminded me of Japanese onsens. High-quality restaurant but you can vary and have pizza delivered from Stoneham. Cool bar with chess table. Rooms are a bit antiquated but that might be part of the charm. Also a large hangout/game area in lower floor with babyfoot and pool tables (video game options could be improved though). Plenty of outdoor space to explore.

Unfortunately the room above us was extremely load and were having a grand time until 1am. We were on the ground floor with access to outside and people were also rolling suitcases well past 11:30 which was pretty load. Thankfully the kids slept though it all. The carpets appeared dirty with stains in some places but otherwise a great hotel.
