### 5 TERRE - "AMARCORD" HOLIDAY HOUSE
The villa, on the 70s style boasts a wonderful view of the Gulf of Poets, both from the garden, the large terrace and from the windows that illuminate its rooms.
The house, about 200 square meters spread over two floors: on the ground floor there is a large living room, kitchen and bathroom, while on the first floor there are three bedrooms and a second bathroom. The two floors are equipped with air conditioning. Through the large garage, you have free access to the small area. On each side the house is surrounded by a barbeque. The large and private parking with an automatic gate allows access to the house.
It is easily reachable from the highway (5 minutes by car) and its position is strategic to the city center, the port, the station. At about 20 minutes by car you reach the first free beach; it is 12 km far to reach Lerici and Portovenere, pearls of the Gulf of Poets. In Genoa, in an hour you can reach Genoa and Pisa.

#### A beautiful Italian home from home.
Our initial impression upon seeing Amarcord was just how much house we were getting for our money. Photographs can often be deceptive, giving a false impression, but in this instance the house and gardens far exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by the family who showed us round the property and provided the essential 'local' information. They left water melon in the fridge, pasta and fruit, including lemons and figs, from the garden, by way of a welcome. We were immediately at our ease and felt the holiday had begun. The house commands views right over Le Spezia which is a town / city far bigger than we had expected. There is so much to see and do in the town itself and it boasts all the facilities we required - we had hired a car for the holiday and this proved to be necessary for trips in and out of the town. There is a small bakery / pizza / cafe within walking distance and this became an essential part of the morning breakfast routine - you have time to collect the bread and pastries whilst the coffee is percolating. We were blessed with the weather and spent a considerable amount of our time on the balcony outside of our bedroom. The views were spectacular and at night, we would watch as the lights came on, first from the port and visiting cruise ships and later from the surrounding hills - sipping wine and simply watching the twinkling lights provided the rest and tranquility we were looking for on our holiday. We used the train to visit Cinque Terre (boat trips also available) and the special ticket allowed us to hop on and off the train as it visited the five beautiful locations. Our idea of a good holiday is the opportunity to recharge the batteries and this was certainly achieved in this beautiful setting. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts - and they respected our privacy whilst at the same time being on hand should we need them. They were delightful people who made us feel welcome into their family home and into their family as well. We had a wonderful holiday and I recommend the house and setting without hesitation.
