I spent a weekend at Hotel Mary to visit Cinque Terre and Porto Venere. The location was great since it was right across the street from the train station, which takes you to all the Cinque Terre villages. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. At check-in they give you useful information about the area (maps, train/ferry timetables). The room was ok as I had booked a single economy, so it was pretty small but had all the essentials and was very clean. Breakfast was also good, it included a nice variety of pastries, cakes, pancakes, eggs, sausage, jam, coffee, tea, juice... Free wifi was also available in the rooms and guests had access to a lounge with a computer and printer. Overall it was a positive experience and I highly recommend this hotel for an affordable stay near Cinque Terre!

"Large sized rooms short walk to downtown La Spezia"
We stayed at Hotel Corallo for 2 nights. The staff were very helpful and polite. The room was very large compared to other hotels we have stayed at which was good. Only a 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal to Cinque Terre and to the main part of La Spezia where there were heaps of restaurants and shops. Comfortable beds, good air conditioning. However as we were at the back of the hotel, low wifi connection.

Great little B&B type hotel located up in the mountains (10 minute curvy road). Not a large facility, but nice and quant. The staff was very helpful, even though we were 90 minutes after the end of check-in (be aware of that). They were quite accommodating. We were there at the end of Nov. Cinque Terre is a MUST SEE!
Situated southeast of Genoa, the naval city of La Spezia offers an urban retreat amidst the surrounding coastal villages. The Museo Tecnico Navale entertains nautical enthusiasts with its exhibition of model ships and statuettes. Feed cultural cravings at the Museo Civico Amadeo Lia, or stroll the shop-lined Via del Prione and sip espresso at one of its many cafes.
