Others might like it tho . Great Mountain View . The kitchen island was chipped and tapped that should be fixed . On my arrival the unit did not seem very clean. Right up against the mountain - so cool. Hotel amenities access is good. But no access to gym. Minor inconvenience for a great place. (Don’t go to EOS fitness as alternative. I've stayed at the property on many occasions. This is my go to resort in the Palm Springs, Palm Desert area. It is a very peaceful resort. I had several issues however with this particular room. Privately owned inside of the resort. I've stayed in other Privately owned villas in the past, all very pleasant. This unit had the thermostat locked in at 73\. Due to the time of year it got quite warm in the room. I think it it were set to 70 we would have been comfortable. There was absolutely no hot water. Not even luke warm. This made showering very uncomfortable. My biggest complaint however was on the day we were to check out. The automated screen in the room gave me the option to request late checkout. Normal checkout is 11 am, I requested 1 pm checkout for an additional $29\. I made this request around 7am. 4 hours prior to the scheduled checkout time. I received an email confirming that my late checkout request was received and filled out the billing portion of the email with my credit card information. I received a second email confirming it had gone through. The email stated that I would be notified on whether it was approved or declined. Again, this was four hours prior to the regular checkout. No notification came. My payment information had been accepted. One can only assume it was approved. We checked out around noon following all checkout protocols. At 2pm I received an email stating that my late checkout request was denied. This villa is great. The AC temperature limit was frustrating and led to poor sleep. During the day, it makes sense to have a limit, but overnight, adults renting a unit should be trusted to lower the AC temperature to a desirable level for sleep. ##### Dave & Katie B. Although the unit is a bit older it was still a good value. Pool and spa located right outside and only a short walk to La Quinta Spa. Grounds were beautiful and well kept. It had a bare minimum supply of soap and shampoo. We stayed for 11 days, and they were not willing to provide us with extra soap. The main bedroom had a comfortable king size bed. We did have to use the pull-out sofa for our kids to sleep on, and it was not comfortable at all! Like sleeping on a board. The unit also had 2 balconies, with very nice views. Over all, it's a nice place for 2 people but amenities were not up to par for a family of 4. ##### Marta S. I've stayed at La Quinta many times over the years, and the Spa Villas at the resort are my favorite! I love the tilework, and they are close to everything - the spa, the tennis courts, the pools and the restaurants. Perfectly situated with plenty of easy parking. New kitchen and bathrooms and flooring would make this a little gem!
