"We were disappointed in the restaurant. We had breakfast at The Grill and enjoyed it. The restaurant not so much. Asking for an additional tip for the cook staff considering the prices was inappropriate. "

"I visited San Diego on a solo trip in order to explore a new environment & to "get away from it all". I can say with confidence that I had an amazing stay at Sands of La Jolla. It was exactly what I needed for a place to rest in between my adventures! The room was very clean, and had a simple yet warming design with a good amount of space to put your things at. Unlike a lot of hotel rooms I stayed in, there wasn't a strong smell of cleaning products. The service at the front desk was awesome, shoutout to Denise! She even offered to hold my luggage for me because my flight was much later. The male receptionist (I didn't get his name sorry) was very helpful in regards to the TV in the room. The location was very convenient as everything was at least 5 mins away and 25 mins at most. A very beautiful area. When I go back to San Diego, I would stay here again! "
