If you are looking to enjoy a fun-filled easygoing beach vacation, this oceanfront, Windansea Beach rental in La Jolla is the property for you. With a spectacular location just steps from the sand, endless ocean views, local surfers, and beach-goers you are sure to have the relaxing vacation you were looking for. This vacation rental is located on the beach in La Jolla, just 15 minutes north of San Diego. This property is perfect for the laid back beach vacationers who want to grab a beach towel and boogie board and enjoy the beach. You are a quick coastal walk from the children's cove where you can watch the seals and the village of La Jolla, La Jolla Village is within walking distance, or a very short drive, where you will find exceptional restaurants, shopping, museums and plenty of outdoor adventures. This property provides plenty of space to spread out with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and sleeps six people comfortably. It is located on the middle floor, you are able to view up and down the coast from your balcony, yet only one flight of stairs to get there. Parking for one car is provided in the driveway, and full access to the garage is given where you will find the laundry facilities, beach items and beach cruisers for you to use during your stay. Garage access is shared with the guests staying upstairs above you. The living room area is a nice large open space that has views of the sparkling ocean. This is a great place to sit on the cozy sofas and watch some cable TV or stream your favorite Netflix series after a day in the sun. Additionally, you will find books, board games, binoculars and Internet access to keep everyone busy during their stay. Adjoining the living room is a fully stocked kitchen. The kitchen is open to the living room allowing someone to prep meals without missing out on any of the excitement. They can also enjoy the ocean view while cooking. The kitchen is fully equip with all the utensils and kitchen amenities you may need to cook up meals during your stay. The master bedroom is located in the back of the property and has a king-size bed where you can cozy up and watch TV at the end of the day. This room also has a comfortable couch and access to the back patio. The master bedroom also has its own newly remodeled private bathroom with a walk-in shower. A rest of the party can enjoy the second bedroom which is set up with two queen-size beds. It is located just down the hall from the kitchen and next to the second bathroom. The guest bathroom has recently been remodeled as well and includes a tub to relax in after a long day in the sun. Outside the living room, you can step out onto the balcony and watch the locals surf, catch the sunset and listen to the waves crashing on the rocks below. In the back of the house is a private patio area with seating and a BBQ if you choose to use it. \*\*This property does not have air conditioning \*\*\*Upper condo is also a vacation rental so guests could be staying above you. \*\*\*You must be at least 25 years old to rent this property. We ended up needing to add on an extra day last minute and they were super accommodating and responsive, even at odd hours, which I was not expecting at all. The wind and Sea hut is directly in front of this property and you can see the ocean from the living room, dining room and kitchen.. The master bedroom was bigger than I expected, and the bathrooms were nicely redone. I highly recommend this property. Séjour de 4 nuits en octobre 2025 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Sherry R. 10 oct. 2025 Points forts : Propreté Th beach view is fantastic and exactly what we wanted for our vacation. The property is in a prime location across from Windansea Beach and perfect spot to watch surfers. They even had binoculars on site for our daily watch of the surfers. This is truly a beach place. While it was a surprise to have humid and warm temps for our mid-September stay, the fans they provided allowed for comfortable sleeping. As one other reviewer mentioned, they could really make this place great with some upgrades but then, of course, the rental would be higher. One thing that was a little disappointing was how dirty the floors were everywhere. They were swept clean but haven’t been washed in awhile. Be patient with the door locks. They can be a little touchy at times but through practice we were able to get them to work. A couple of times we needed to contact the property manager and she replied immediately. Bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and updated, living room and kitchen needed attention and updating, but were clean. Location can not be beat, the sunsets off the balcony were amazing. The hosts were so helpful when we voiced concerns about the property and handled it like pros. The space was cleaned as well as it could be but, other than the bathrooms and flooring, not much has been updated for decades so things appear quite rundown. We spent a fair amount of time just watching the surf out the living room window when it was raining. When it wasn’t, we walked up and down the rocky coastline and investigated tidepools.There are several restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance.The place was very clean upon check-in. The property manager was quick to respond to our texts. This place isn’t exactly updated, which probably explains the relatively reasonable rental cost. The kitchen is dated, and the furniture includes uncomfortable metal dining chairs. One of the two lounging chairs was completely broken. The property manager offered to try to repair the chair, which didn’t seem worth it given the extent of the damage. And, there is no central heating, so on cold winter days, renters will need to rely on the provided space heaters.But, given the unbeatable location and how clean the unit was, we were pretty happy with this rental. We only have a couple of small quibbles. The refrigerator buzzed all the time despite our efforts to quiet it down and the guest beds were fairly well 'broken in.' Loved the view of the ocean and ability to walk to the water. Watching the surfers was really enjoyable along with the over all vibe. Easy drive to pick up odds and ends and the parking proved to be a huge advantage. Would recommend the Taco Stand, we chose to walk but there is street parking around the corner. ##### Jeremy S. The pictures very accurately describe the place. The location is what we were looking for and it hit the spot. Super nice that the garage had all kinds of beach supplies for us to use. We didn’t use the bikes but they were available if we wanted to. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms nice. Did I say the view was great?! The outside of the refrigerator was a little rusty, I’m sure the salt air is hard on those kinds of things. Didn’t take anything away from our enjoyment of the kitchen. There was also a backyard space that was shared with the upstairs guests but none of us used it. The only thing I would change is to add glass railing on the deck instead of slats because when you are sitting outside on deck you have to look through the slats to see the ocean. The beach was beautiful. The water was blue. The only comment I will make is that the house itself needs some TLC and updating - chairs and couches are pretty worn, patio furniture is not very comfortable, and bathrooms while updated could have been cleaner when we got there. Did this stop us from having fun? No - because we stayed outside most of the time anyway. Also this place was walking distance to a lot which was also incredibly useful!
