Walk to the beach with your coffee in the morning, watch a beautiful sunset with a glass of wine in the evening, and fall asleep to the sound of the surf at night. Welcome to the Surf & Sand Beach Bungalow. Nestled in a small compound just steps from beautiful WindanSea Beach and an easy walk to local restaurants. This vintage cottage has been completely remodeled with meticulous attention to detail to make your stay comfortable and carefree. Grab towels and beach chairs and lounge on the beach, walk to La Jolla Cove, or take a short hop to other local attractions like The San Diego Zoo, Gaslamp, or Little Italy. There are hundreds of great pubs and restaurants all within easy reach. Or you can grab food at one of the local markets and just relax and eat at home. This charming, light filled bungalow has a full kitchen, separate bedroom, and a small courtyard with an outdoor shower and BBQ. The mini-kitchen comes with a stove top, microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher. Please note there is no oven. Your courtyard has seating so you can eat el fresco or just relax with a good book. It's a small space design and has its own wi-fi router and 43-inch televisions in both the living room and bedroom. Parking: 24 Hour Street Parking is available in front of the property. About the area: La Jolla is another San Diego neighborhood exuding a Mediterranean village atmosphere. La Jolla Shores' picturesque sandy beach runs north from La Jolla Cove and offers great snorkeling and scuba diving. Known for its galleries, shops, restaurants and the highly scenic coastline, La Jolla is also home to branch of the Museum of Contemporary Art of San Diego. To the north of La Jolla is Torrey Pines, home to the Torrey Pines Golf Course, one of the nation's finest public golf courses and the site of the Farmers Insurance Open in late January or early February. Located around the course is the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, which offers paths and rock outcroppings to hike on as you make your way to pristine and often empty beaches. THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW: This is a NON-SMOKING home. This includes outside common areas. Maximum occupancy is strictly enforced. This home has a maximum occupancy of 2 people (including children) Due to the moderate coastal climate, this condo (like most in the area) DOES NOT have air conditioning. We stayed for two weeks. We were able to walk to the beach every day sometimes twice. It’s a three minute walk. So beautiful! The kitchen was the perfect size, we cooked and ate in quite a few times. There is a little dishwasher, which was very helpful. They have a few different ways to brew coffee. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of pillows, including a memory foam in the closet. Laundry on site, outside. Very helpful! We use the outdoor shower after the beach. Indoor, the bathroom, shower and vanity set up is very nice! There is a book with lots of recommendations of things to do, places to eat, etc. We loved Carolines Seaside Café down by La Jolla Shores. We walked a lot, very nice area We recommend this place so much, and I hope we will be able to go back someday! ##### Marla H. Nicely equipped mini kitchen. I felt like I was one of the first to stay there and really enjoyed morning coffee and afternoon wine on my patio. Minor concerns- there was no table/chairs, the end tables were not handy to eat from; I don't think I liked not being contacted by agency to check on me. The contactless check in was too impersonal for this old lady and would have appreciated more info on the TV, I am in my 80's and not tech savvy.
