DESCRIPTION
Spanish Palms at Windansea Beach is a wonderful ocean-view beach house with modern style and Spanish flourishes. Lush palms are set against barrel Spanish roof tiles that resemble the rows of lapping waves in the ocean just beyond. Tastefully designed and furnished, this 2,170 square foot, 3-bedroom, 3-bath home offers guests a unique space to gather and spend time together within earshot of the waves crashing on the beach. If you love being near the sea, this is the place for you. The ocean views from the living room, kitchen, and master bedroom somehow make your morning coffee smell fresher, meals taste better, and drinks more refreshing.

Enter the property from a custom wrought-iron gate into a private courtyard, then open a rustic wood door to a soaring ceiling with a wooden cupola. Step down to a sunken living room with gorgeous, reclaimed wood plank flooring and a rich leather sofa where you can recline and enjoy a large flat-screen TV.

The kitchen is just off the living room and is bright and airy with sturdy wooden dining tables of the same reclaimed wood as the living room floor. Modern stainless appliances coexist wonderfully with white hardwood cabinetry and white stone countertops and colorful mosaic tile backsplash.

The main level also features a bedroom with a queen bedroom and TV along with a hall bath with a walk-in shower. Upstairs you`ll find the master bedroom complete with a king bed, ocean views, and a sofa that makes this space a true retreat. The master bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom with a sit-down vanity and bathtub/shower combo. Across the hall is the 3rd bedroom complete with a queen bed, TV, and en-suite bathroom with a claw-foot tub.

Met all of expectations to not want for anything. Large spaces, comfortable and clean. Enjoy all that La Jolla has to offer within minutes of this home. 20 minutes to the city.

Spring Break jaunt

We came for a short long weekend visit to San Diego and La Jolla. Great location, very close to the beach and ocean, convenient to the world famous SD Zoo, La Jolla Cove, Scripps, Old Town, etc. Great interior accommodations. Two thumbs up for sure!

Excellent stay at Windansea

Property was as expected. Great location and the kitchen fully stocked. One suggestion for the kitchen would be aluminum foil, parchment paper or a silicon mat for use in the oven. The welcome coffee and snacks was a nice touch. My only complaint was that we could have used more towels, but the washer and dryer were in good condition and easily accessible. Thanks for a great stay.

La Jolla Beach House “Windansea”

The house was spacious & well equipped. It was very comfortable & clean. The Property management Co. was very responsive to our inquiries. Our only issue was the upstairs windows were not allowed to be opened, which made the house feel somewhat stuffy & we couldn’t hear the ocean. Besides that the property was lovely, the ocean view nice & beach access great.

The house and the location were even better than we expected. And we expected a lot based on the very accurate pictures and description. The neighborhood was charming and being able to listen to the ocean at night was music to these 6 desert dwellers. We would come back in a minute. And we all loved the beds a nd linens—so soft and luxurious.

Excellent location, but that's what you're paying for

I want to be clear...the location is excellent, the property was very clean, the check-in process was good, and the property manager got back to us quickly -- but this is an extremely expensive property to stay at and so the expectations are, unsurprisingly, going to be equally high. The internet connection was not good and there's no service in the top bedroom to the left as you come up the stairs. They sent someone around but said they couldn't do anything, and also contacted the service provider but we never heard back. This meant we couldn't run our baby/toddler camera which was far from ideal. And generally doing work from the property was frustrating. For the price (and frankly any rental property), solid internet connection is something you have to nail and this wasn't. Smaller frustrations, again for the money, built up. We stayed at the property for 9 nights but only received a small bottle of shampoo/conditioner in each bathroom, and the kitchen was understocked with some basic items you would expect to be in there - such as having more than 2 tupperware containers, there was no cling film or aluminum foil or parchment paper - a few basics that don't cost much to add. The door to the balcony screeches when you open/close it - again, very easy to fix but overlooked. The toaster broke but they did send that over ASAP so that was perfectly fine and appreciated. If the property had been 30% less expensive, these become less of an issue (outside of the internet).

Stunning home with beautiful views

Ohhh-the beds were so comfortable. Plenty of elegant space with a Spanish flair and odd little touches….see if you can spot the earn. The back space is locked to visitors but plenty of space at the front to enjoy. Kitchen was very well supplied and plenty of seating. Highly recommend over booking three separate hotel rooms.

Review of Oceanside House

Property manager excellent, Very close to rocky beach nice setting. House was nice excellent master bedroom in one wall there was an open area. Unfortunately the main TV room and kitchen was below and when we went to sleep we could hear the TV , as my adult children stayed up later and in morning people getting breakfast. Homeowner Stays With you

The home is a beautiful place , we enjoyed the comfortable and spacious bedrooms , the property is right by a beautiful beach . But the problems we had were that the homeowner stays above the garage next to the entrance . we had to keep moving our cars out of the driveway so she could get in and out ,we opted to park on the street . After we checked out ,the manger wanted to charge an additional fee 110.50 , because the homeowner heard a dog in the the house . We did not have a dog . We too heard the dog barking, it was coming from the neighbors apartment next door . Nice House, but too close to Nosey Homeowner . JF .
