La Jolla Beach and Village - Contemporary and Bright w/Partial Ocean View

Enjoy La Jolla and the San Diego area from a lovely residential neighborhood, just four blocks from the golden sand of Windansea Beach. The residence is fully air-conditioned (even though really not needed as so close to the beach that the residence enjoys the cool ocean breezes) !

The residence is located on the second floor of a duplex (upper and lower). All appliances and designer furnishings in this sophisticated contemporary are newer. There is sleeping for four – the Master bedroom has a King bed, the guest bedroom has two full size beds a; all mattresses on beds are Plushtops. The granite countertop kitchen is fully equipped and has stainless steel appliances including a gas range. The dining room has a dining table for six and counter seating at the bar. Free Direct TV and Wifi Internet come with the rental. The residence has a full-size washer and dryer
.
The retreat has exclusive use of the newly installed front yard/patio with dining table, lounge chairs, couch, and BBQ. This is not a shared space. There is also a enclosed area to store beach toys and bikes. The downstairs residence has exclusive use of the back patio.

The retreat has off-street parking for one car as well as on street parking and a public lot just a short block away. Parking is free.

Housekeeping every other week for monthly stays is included. Additional housekeeping is available.


The house is in a great location for enjoying the amenities of La Jolla and the San Diego area. La Jolla is a friendly town for walking. It is just four blocks to the Beach and La Jolla Village businesses, dining, shopping and other activities are within ½ mile of the retreat – town center, museums, restaurants, shops and businesses. A delightful Sunday Farmers Market is a source of fresh produce and unique crafts. The Coggan Aquatic Center with Olympic-size pool and sports complex offering tennis courts, track, baseball fields and basketball courts is located just two blocks east of the home.

As an alternative to strolling thru La Jolla, the main public bus line stops within a block of the house and provides transportation throughout La Jolla and south to Pacific Beach, Mission Bay and other San Diego destinations. Beach bikes are also readily available for rental at local bike shop.

Perfect La Jolla

This property was exceptionally clean and we appreciated the quiet neighborhood setting. Within walking distance of beach and town center. The kitchen is well provisioned with dishes and food prep items, and the full size major appliances worked great. We had plenty of towels! We really appreciated the option of opening the windows and using fans OR running AC. Absolutely no issues with Wifi. Would love to stay here again.

Perfect location: light, clean and comfortable

We’ve returned many times to this clean comfortable airy light retreat. It’s the perfect location for us, a short distance to anything we need. It’s a 5 minute walk to the hidden beaches between Windansea and Marine Street, and a little further walk to the Cove and beyond. The light pours in and the view across the housetops to the ocean is lovely. The kitchen is set up with much of what we need for cooking. It’s a nice place to hang out if we don’t feel like exploring. The unit is upstairs of another vacation rental, but the renters are usually quiet.

Great place to stay in LA Jolla!

The property was extremely clean. Lisa had everything labeled in the kitchen which made it easy to find whatever you wanted. There were plenty of towels (some other VBRO not so much). The bed in the front bedroom was very comfortable. We did not use the back bedroom. The TVs were great, we had Apple as well as Direct TV. When we had one problem with an outside umbrella, Lisa responded and had it fixed immediately. There were shops and places to eat close by. It was easy to get around the area. This was the best ABNB or VBRO I have stayed at. I highly recommend it.

Our first time using a VRBO. So happy with the decision. The place was immaculate. We had all the things needed, and more, for our visit—including an iron and a hair dryer. Appreciated the quiet street and on street parking in front of our unit. The only minor, very minor suggestion is to upgrade the number and quality of the towels. Will suggest this to any family or friends looking for a place in La Jolla. Thanks for making this a great experience!

Great location, great condo!

This condo is very nice - accurate to the pictures. It's roomy and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need, but you'll probably want to go to restaurants. The location is awesome! You can walk to the beach and the restaurants. It's a cute & quiet residential neighborhood. The property manager was very quick to respond to our questions.

Lovely rental!

Everything you need is at your fingertips with this upper level unit in the heart of La Jolla. We walked to the beach (only a few blocks, little steep on the return but not difficult!) and to town (approximately 1 mile each way, pretty flat) from the home. We were very comfortable there and Lisa was an amazing host. We hope to return again for longer next time!

Great location, clean and quiet

This was our first stay in the upper duplex, which has the same layout as the lower duplex unit, where we have stayed several times. We really like the convenient location, close to restaurants and stores, and nice beaches within walking distance. The unit is bright, clean, and a comfortable base for our visit to family in La Jolla. The kitchen is spacious enough for most cooking needs. We’ve also stayed at another of Lisa’s properties and found her to be a responsive host who made contact with us to ensure we had a comfortable stay.

Fabulous Duplex

The upstairs duplex is just lovely. You can see the Sea, watch the sunset and enjoy watching the birds. The house is thoughtfully filled with whatever you need. And it’s easy walking distance to two beaches, the shopping district and the Sunday farmers market. We loved our two week stay.

Fantastic place in La Jolla - great location and beautiful condo with all of the amenities. We loved the spaciousness of the place. Everything you could possibly need was available. Great location in La Jolla

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay! Only 4 blocks from the beach. The unit was clean and very well stocked with pot, pans, utensils, towels, etc. Lisa provided very detailed and easy to follow instructions. We have a problem with one of the toilets. The chain in one toilet became disconnected. Lisa asked us to reconnect it ourselves.

Perfect Location & Great communication

The house is located in a perfect location in La Jolla. You can walk to the ocean in 10mins. Great for morning walks & sunsets with some amazing views. There is CVS & Vons in 10 mins walking distance. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby (Try El Pescador for seafood!!) We have a 2 year old girl and she loved walking to the nearby parks. The house is on the 1st floor. You need to step up like 20 steps just to keep in mind. Lisa made our stay memorable by being very communicative and assisted us to make our stay wonderful. The house already comes with cleaning products for washing machine, dishwasher etc. The BBQ outside is easy to use and make your life easier when the weather allows. There was complimentary cleaning couple of times during our 2 month stay so we appreciated that as well. We would definitely recommend this place for friends & families.

Amazing location, close to beach & restaurants. Not too far to downtown La Jolla, close drive to airport. We rented a golf cart - so fun & highly recommend! Great for families with toddlers - had high chair & pack n play! Thanks for a great stay will definitely rebook & recommend! (Also great Wi-Fi for those who have to zoom during their stay - I was able to take my meeting out front in the cute outdoor space). Neighbors are friendly too, we had live music two nights & it was really good! (Not loud & obnoxious, just a guy with his guitar singing a tune). Thanks again

Wonderful family vacation

We stayed at this property for 7 nights with our 2 adult children. This condo was ideal for us because it had 2 full bathrooms and a second bedroom with 2 beds. Beds were very comfortable. It also had air conditioning (which many homes in the area do not have). The condo was very clean and, although we did not do any cooking, had a well stocked kitchen. I'm sure it has any type of pot, pan or utensil that you might need. The location was excellent;Walking distance to the beach and a short drive to downtown San Diego. The owner was easy to deal with and answered all of my questions promptly. We all had a great time!!

Family weekend

Clean property in nice quiet residential neighborhood but yet easy to get to beaches and shops and restaurants. No hotel parking fees, laundry in unit, 3 nice beds and 2 bathrooms worked very nice for our group of 4 and Lisa was always very quick and prompt helping with questions prior to the booking as well as after we checked in.
