Interesting place, great village
The building is an interesting place to stay. I would say that the room decor was middle-of-the-road for hotel standards. There was an odd wooden structure in the room near the window with steps so that you could adjust the shutters, which was a notable feature. One thing that was a bit frustrating was that they required you to pay them to iron your clothes. I was in La Granja for a wedding and after an international flight I needed to touch up wrinkles on everything I brought, so this was a relatively small but hidden cost, as most hotels provide an iron for you. It is in the middle of the village and walking distance from just about everything.

Amazing place.
Lovely Parador in beautiful location, large room, lovely breakfast, staff very attentive. Only downside no iron in room or from reception? Shirts ironed through paid room service - problem - wedding party everybody wanted things ironed!
