It’s an extraordinary place. Beautifully designed property, extremely comfortable, with fantastic staff, some of the best hotel staff we’ve met in the world. The food is inventive and great as is the drink selection. I really can’t say enough good things about the place it’s truly exceptional.

Property is unmatched! The customer service, the rooms, the grounds, everything was perfect. It is close to downtown area but still get that secluded feel. It’s definitely a hotel to enjoy your company as there is not much to do unless you leave the hotel but definitely a good spot for one or two nights.

This was honestly one of the best vacations we have ever been on. The hotel was definitely 5 stars. The room was something out of a magazine and the grounds are beautiful and lush. The fact that the hotel only has 30 or so casitas, makes it feel like you have the whole resort to yourself sometimes. The free breakfast was always the highlight of our day as we tried all the wonderfully delicious options with the costarican breakfast being our favorite. The staff was also very helpful at all times. Anything we needed, all we had to do was ask and they would see it done. Ronald our service was terrific, Carlos and Jogebeth were fantastic concierge. Steven, Mauricio, Kelvin and Cindy were also some who contributed to our beautiful vacation. The casitas all have an amazing jacuzzi that we used every day, even in the rain. And speaking of rain, it did rain every day of our vacation but it never stopped us from venturing to town for dinner or to the waterfalls and hanging bridges. The rain was just as beautiful. Thank you all for making this the best time ever. We hope to be back very soon.

This place is AMAZING! Everything from food, the room, the staff and surrounding facilities are fantastic. Each casita is secluded enough that you really dont know anyone else is around. The views from the casita are unbelievable. The staff here is amazing. They will do everything in their power to make sure you have the best stay.

Wow!Wow!Wow! What a spectacular experience at Amor Arenal!!!!!!!! From the moment I arrived at the reception desk to my departure I enjoyed every single aspect of the resort. The staff are exceptional!!!!!!! Everyone is so pleasant, helpful, and accommodating!!! Jogebeth pleasantly greeted me at the reception desk and explanation everything I needed to know. She is very warm, patient, and has superb customer service. She also had great suggestions for things to do on and off the resort. I’ve been to nearly 60 countries and my room at Amor Arenal was definitely top 3 rooms I’ve ever stayed in. It was magical and equipped with everything even a humidifier and kettlebells!!!!!!! I really felt so comfortable and at home!!!!! Jogebeth was also so kind and decorated my room for my birthday!!!!!! I greatly appreciate her making it a special surprise!!!!!! Thank you very much!!!! The service at the restaurants was top tier! The staff at the spa were all so lovely and the massage was super relaxing & enjoyable!!!! I also really liked the free yoga session!!!! Great way to begin my morning!!! The pools and gym were very nice as well!!!!!!!! If you’re looking for a place to stay in La Fortuna look no further! This is undoubtedly the BEST choice!!!!!!!! You will certainly have the most amazing time guaranteed!!!!!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO THE ENTIRE AMOR ARENAL STAFF !!!!!!!!!! Pura Vida!!!!!!!!

AMAZING!
If I could give this place an 11 out of 10, I totally would! They truly live up to their name "amor arenal" as everything here is crafted with love. From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted with the biggest smiles and open arms. Our casita was absolutely gorgeous, and they pay attention to the little details which I appreciate more than anything else. The staff is incredibly friendly and nice, making you feel right at home. The food at their restaurants is seriously impressive, even their Indian dishes are surprisingly delicious. If you're looking for a true Costa Rican food experience, I highly recommend it. Carmen and Cindy were our servers that night and they were absolutely awesome, but honestly, every staff member here is equally amazing. I can't stress enough how much I recommend this hotel. I genuinely wish the owner the best of luck so I can come back soon!

Amor Arenal far surpasses any place I’ve ever stayed on vacation. It was overall a MAGICAL experience if I could give it one word. Every single detail of the resort is made to maximize your experience. The casita was stunningly beautiful, private and I felt like royalty being there. The staff all are genuinely kind and go above and beyond to make sure you get everything you want or need. The breakfast was huge and fabulous. The dinner menu at the main restaurant was the only thing I was disappointed with. The cheapest dinners are $25-35 which I don’t mind paying but the dinners we got were bland and very average in my opinion. I understand that most resorts try to cater to the general populations taste. The best meals we had in CR were the ones in local restaurants on the side of the roads when traveling town to town. All and all Amor Arenal I very highly recommend.

The cottages are very very beautiful, spacious, private and with a fantastic view on the vulcano. The kitchen is good, especially the 6 course gastronomic menu. The ‘easy’ trail was beautiful and just enough excercise for our group.

We had an amazing time at Amor Arenal! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our trip. They answered any questions we had. The casita felt like a home away from home. The bed was comfortable. The amenities are of high quality. And the view of Arenal Volcano was spectacular. Dining at the hotel was delicious for every meal we had. This place is wonderful and we highly recommend it.

This is one my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. The room was beautiful and we loved the wood and rock used. The shower room with view of the Volcano was absolutely amazing as was the outside space. The bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed having a couple movie channels to watch in downtime. The complimentary mini bar and breakfast was very appreciated. We can’t say enough about the wonderful staff, they anticipated needs and were so thoughtful and fun. We were lucky we were able to see the Volcano so often, and we really enjoyed seeing the Toucans outside our deck! The bungalows were close together but very private, everything was well done!!

The place was absolutely beautiful. The casita was beautiful, extremely clean and comfortable, and the bed was very comfortable. We absolutely loved everything about the hotel and the staff service was superb. The only thing we did not like so much was the food for lunch and dinner. Everything else was phenomenal. If the hotel could provide a breakfast buffet and a more aunthentic menu, that would make it so much better. The personal jacuzzi in the room and the volcano views were amazing! The staff super friendly and accommodating.

This place is absolutely beautiful, from the volcano being right in the back yard to monkeys swinging through in the morning. Service was amazing, there was nothing the staff wasn't willing to do to make the stay there the best ever. This place and the people exceeded my expectations. I will be returning soon.

Amor Arenal was incredible. The private pool with the view of the volcano made everything. Oscar was wonderful, he not only was great in helping us get around the resort but spent time showing us a pregnant mom sloth and bringing Berny over to look through his telescope. Such a wonderful way to end our honeymoon, they gave us chocolates, sparkling wine, and flowers as well. The staff and service were great. Would recommend to anything looking to relax, have a beautiful view, delicious food, and a great location for grabbing a taxi into the town of La Fortuna.

Amor Arsenal was amazing!! The whole property is beautiful and extremely well kept. The staff is very attentive and quick with any requests. The team also assisted us with setting up an itinerary for our stay and everything was perfect with no hiccups at all. Food was great with a lot of options. Rooms are beautiful, large, and very comfortable. We did everything on site we could from yoga, meditation, pools, trails, spa, ate at all restaurants and had a great experience at every single thing. I would highly recommend Amor Arenal and hope to go back one day!

The only place to stay in Costa Rica
We stayed in 4 different places in Costa Rica. Amor Arenal was the BEST place by far! If we come back, this is the only place we will stay. We have never stayed at a place where customer service was at the level of this hotel. From the check in process where you relax in the reception area on comfortable couches with drinks and snacks, with a personalized orientation of the property, to the golf cart ride to your personal casita with the "wow" factor as the door is opened for you. The accommodations were exceptional, private, very quiet, gorgeous, exposed wood, very tasteful touches, spacious, clean, fully stocked complimentary mini bar, home made chocolates to enjoy, jacuzzi spa on the patio with views of the rain forest and Arenal volcano, comfortable beds, netflix, wonderful bath products. The restaurant was exceptional, food excellent including the "order off the menu" complimentary HUGE breakfast with views of the volcano. We also did the tasting menu at the hotel's Costa Rican restaurant which was so fun and delicious. We did the complimentary guided hike around the rain forest hotel grounds which was very interesting. A special shout out to special hotel employees we met: Enrique, restaurant manager, Laura, reception, Raquel, customer service, Raquel, restaurant hostess, Oscar and Wilson, golf cart drivers / bellhops, Benny, hike tour guide. We can't say enough positive things about this hotel. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay.
