2 nights during Semana Santa
No eco options to encourage recycling and wifi was really bad, had to sit in the reception all evening. Good location though.

Very good standard and value
This hotel was a real bargain when I booked it. My expectations were greatly surpassed as soon as I walked into the room. The bed was big for solo occupancy with bright and modern fixtures. It had a bath and shower with plenty of super hot water. Check-in was simple and courteous. Quiet surroundings just up the hill from the harbour and on the main road to the Cape.

Hotel is great. Good location and walkable. Bus station is 2 mins walk. Lots of restaurants near by and just 5 mins walk from the pier.

Was disappointed in reception not friendly or helpful our check in form said room 209 our key was engraved 109 and a sticker on it saying 421 with no communication from reception we found our room was 109 the tv was pocket size no access to uk tv or american no hairdryer no access to a drink until 8.30am.

Great value
The hotel is located on a main road just 5 minute walk from the bus stop. If you want to watch the sunset or we see the 0km rock, this is one of the last spot on the way up. Check/in and checkout went well. The room was clean and even had a tub. They provided towels and shampoo and soap and even a toothbrush! The bed seemed a little old (squeaky and soft) and the walls are extremely thin but for the price, i would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great but he rooms Air conditioner was broken and our room was facing the sun all day. It was almost unbearably hot in the room.

Very tidy hotel center of Finisterre on the Camino
Bussed into Finesterra post 775 KM on the Camino Francis! No more long walks with a backpack for me! I found friendly staff & nice accommodations at Hotel Ancora!

AVOID THIS HOTEL
After a long day's walk from Oliveira, we booked a night on www.hotels.com for October 2nd in Ancore Hotel, Finisterre, Galicia, Spain. Arriving at the hotel, the host was with strong smell of alcohol, very uncomfortable for us. I asked him if he had charged on the credit card and he said no, it was only to guarantee the room. I asked if I could then pay in euros. He said: not problem. We paid and He gave us a piece of paper signed with the amount paid and the seal of the hotel. He requested information: date of birth, nationality, etc. I said Canada, he said no no. I said yes. He said no no. After three times, I said, oh, I see my Spanish name .... I was born in Cuba. We asked at what time the restaurant opened, but he said that the restaurant was closed for the week since his wife and daughter were on vacation outside.. The story would have stopped there, if I not realize arriving to Canada on October 7th, that the hotel had charged again the amount on my credit card in date of October 5th. I called www.hotels.com and asked for refund. They talked to the hotel and asked me to send a copy of the receipt at the hotel. I did it and I explained the same that I described above. The woman at the hotel was angry with me because I said that gay had got some drinks. She said that there were not notice of payment and the file was closed. Her husband wanted my phone number for talk to me. I gave her my phone number, but he never called.

Perfect place in Finisterre
A very good place in Finisterre, where the staff is more than friendly, the room & bathroom are clean and well kept, the hotel itself is in very good condition, same as location, walking distance to center of town. I highly recomend this place.

Se escuchaba todo por las mañanas, las paredes parecian de papel. El aire acondicionado que habia en la habitación no funcionaba y el teléfono para llamar a recepción, etc, sin conectar. No tenia ningun cable, vamos que no servia para nada. Exceptuando estas 3 cosas por lo demas todo perfecto.

El aparcamiento horrible, ningún sitio para dejar el coche tuvimos que irnos muy lejos. El trato "cordial", la estancia demasiado cara para una habitación DIMINUTA, la limpieza normal exceptuando las sábanas llenas de lámparones. La televisión y el teléfono no funcionan y las actividades que te ofrecen los teléfonos son antiguos y no son las personas que actualmente se encargan de ello.

Para ser de 1 estrella mas que bien...
Todo muy correcto, habitaciones limpias y funcionales, buena cama y detallitos en la habitación como bombones, galletas, infusiones, etc. Por poner un pero, la insonorización, sobre todo por la mañana se oye bastante el ajetreo de otros clientes por el pasillo. En general muy satisfecho en relación calidad/precio.
