"The Heron is a very well maintained vintage building with the creature comforts and customer service to entice me to want to return for a longer visit. There’s ample parking and we were able to plug in our electric car. The lobby area features an appealing lounge with massive fireplace and seating as well as the breakfast dining area. Breakfast was of a good standard with fruit and eggs made to order . The rooms have a mixture of vintage charm and expansive windows along with a nice bathroom with tub and shower . The bedding was sumptuous and the room very clean and thoughtfully appointed . This review would be I complete if I didn’t mention the staff who were very warm and friendly and helpful , just what a traveller needs. The Heron will undoubtedly be the place I want to stay, the next time I visit the charming town of La Connor with its boutiques and galleries. "

"We stayed there for the 1/2 marathon. They were amazing and had all the necessities for the runners, including free waters, cliff bars, and early breakfast take out options. Very nice people, cute place, fun:)"

"The charming property has lovely grounds & very comfortable rooms. Wonderful views of the ferries and the Salish Sea from our balcony. Property is close to Anacortes city for many great restaurants & shops, & a nearby beautiful County Park."

"The view is outstanding with sail boats and coast guard very close. There’s a pier you can walk along and a stunning bronze figure if a woman in a yoga stance on a rock near by. Food is excellent snd rooms are worth the price. "
