The accommodation is right next to the Takasegawa River and with the cherry blossom in full season it is such a magical place. The rooms were ultra clean, the setup comfortable, the breakfast got served on time every morning personally into my room (and it was delicious), the location is conveniently around 15' walk from the main Kyoto station and around 20' walk from the central area. The staff also helped me get a taxi for the station and find traditional restaurants to try nearby. They also provided me with an umbrella when it was raining heavily before I ventured out. The rooms were very quiet and the area is also ideal to rest after a long day of sightseeing! Clean, friendly staffs, and very beautiful room providing a traditional Japanese housing experiences. of course, the wooden bathtub is the best experience that I did not get from the major hotel chains. My girl friend really love the L'Occitane amenities. The room was very clean. They gave us a free upgrade to a larger room. We were told that the hotel was built last year; tatami mats in the room looked really new and smelled freshly grassy.
