We got the traditional Japanese experience in Kyoto. The transit was a small walk through a quiet and safe neighborhood. It was very comfortable and we had the traditional breakfast in the morning. The food was ok it wasn't to my daughters liking, but I enjoyed mine. The only negative I could say is that Expedia did not inform us of the extra $90CAD we had to pay for the Tourist Tax.
