The room is larger than most hotel we stayed at. The staff are very friendly. Since this is more an apartment style hotel, there was no room cleaning service but it didn’t bother us at all about that. It is sooo convenient to Kyoto station. Plus, it's a super short walk to Higashi Honganji, which is also worth a visit. The staff were friendly and the room (we had a Japanese style room for 5 people) worked great for us. If you are visiting Kyoto area, this is definitely a place I'd recommend. There are also several nice coffee shops within walking distance-- we enjoyed the coffee culture in Kyoto. The staff are friendly and speak quite fluent English so communication may not be a problem here. All the instruction on the laundry and toilet usage have English translation which are very useful for tourist !
