The beds themselves are really comfortable but the pillows were pretty uncomfortable. The building itself was pretty empty and the women’s bath area was really nice (it looked like it was redone recently). There’s a shared restroom on each floor but since there weren’t many other people it was private for the most part. You just can't remove the comforts like bed, table, chairs and make you sleep on a futon bed on the floor and make you use old toilet and shower and call it Ryokan experience. Did not bother to check the baths etc.,Only grace for this hotel was the person who was manning the reception.
