This cute hotel is a gem in the city! A short walk to Fushimi Inari and convenience store. There is so much space that it puts other hotel rooms to shame. Would recommend for families, couples or groups. There is a small kitchenette w/ a Nespresso and a large shower room. Hotel Gentle Fox was a wonderful place to stay in Kyoto! I have several food allergies and have to cook my own food so the accommodations were perfect. The hotel is walking distance to a supermarket and the stovetop made it easy for me to cook my meals. The location of this hotel is also great - walking distance to a station and right by the Fushimi Inari shrine. The room was also very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. In this sense, the location of this hotel is good. It located in a quiet residential area, and you can walk to the train stations and Inari Fushimi Shrine within 15 mins. The room was in good condition with a small pantry which we liked. We weren’t disappointed. The room was spacious and comfortable with excellent facilities. The whole hotel was very clean with easy parking (however there are only three spaces, so you may need to reserve, we were lucky). Nearby there are two train stations, a large supermarket and of course the Shrine, which is a must see. The hotel was quite pricey compared to other places we stayed in Japan but comparable with other hotels in Kyoto. It was very convenient to two different train lines, so getting around was a breeze. The staff were friendly and helpful.
