The room gets daily cleaning and restocking, but the reception/concierge is not really present (they can be summoned with a phone call from the front desk). It was within walking distance of city center but tucked away on a quiet romantic street near the canal near restaurants and bars. The hotel is very Japanese - travelers will need to remove their shoes in the room. The bathroom shower was a little bit moldy, however. It was clean, but the wooden tub had some dark spots that really defy scrubbing. Otherwise, the room was spotlessly clean and perfect for a family.
