Nice but not great
They provide amazing service, including public bath. However, the location is not good. You have to walk at least 10 min to get to the train station or a bus stop. It will be hard during the summer. They provide nice Japanese breakfast, but Western options are limited to a small number of pasteries.

Staff made every process incredibly smooth and enjoyable. The hotel is squeaky clean all around, it’s full of amenities and its location is only a couple of minutes walking from the main Kyoto station.

The greatest service I have ever received from a hotel...greeted with a towel when coming in from the rain, three staff members helped bring up our luggage to the room from storage, a staff member rushed to the elevator to push the button when our hands were full and the complementary Japanese style public bath was a real treat. Construction in the breakfast area prevented breakfast from being served...this hickup was handled to our complete satisfaction. A most delightful three day stay!

Clean & comfortable hotel 10 mins walk from Kyoto main station, in a quiet neighborhood. Japanese style shared bath & comprehensive breakfast buffet of Japanese & western dishes. Friendly staff. Mix of modern & traditional Japanese styles throughout.

We have been at this hotel in April and loved it. When we returned in October, we noticed it was dusty. Under the bed was very dusty. The Front Desk is very friendly and welcoming.

This hotel is Super small. And it is not very near the Kyoto station , as still have to walk about 15 mins to 20 mins to reach the hotel, but good way is, they will provide umbrella when is raining season. Although have free Onsen, it is a good point. But the washroom is way too small, so we headed to Onsen area for showering .

A very pleasant stay
once you walk in the lobby you’re greeted by a very nice and refreshing floral scent. The people that work here are extremely helpful and friendly and they made our stay very pleasant. Our room was clean and it had everything we needed. The only thing I wished was that people with tattoos would have a designated time for the public bath since we weren’t able to use it because of that reason, but other than that, we enjoyed the place.

Well priced hotel in a good location
The location is good, being about a 10 minute walk from Kyoto Station, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable with a decent amount of space. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great Customer service by staff. Great value, plus location a couple of blocks from Kyoto Station a winner. Rooms smallish, but well appointed and efficiently laid out. There is also the added feature of additional public space to get out on the property.

Outstanding hotel
We were there for three days and two nights when we traveled to Kyoto for fun. The hotel onsen was excellent, and I recommend trying the breakfast at least once because it was delicious! The staff were super polite and helpful. The hotel was a very close walking distance to Kyoto station so you can try the famous green tea jelly from Nakamura Tohkichi. We will definitely come back!

Hotel very clean and new. Spacious room with friendly staff. There's evan hot spring in the hotel with high security (a passcode is required for entry) The only weak point is it's located a bit far away from the station and rather hard to fine as it's rather quiet in the neighbourhood.

The staff is very helpful. They also have a lot of tourist information in the lobby. We did not use the public bath. The doors are thin, so we heard the hallway noise. Overall a good stay, and pretty convenient location.

Nice property with clean rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet is $20/person so is quite high and there are not many restaurants within close walking as an alternative. There is a $10 buffet around the corner at Henn na and a large 7-11 with great food nearby. Tough to get your morning coffee.

For the small budget, Almont hotel is perfect, maybe a little far away from Kyoto Station, but it’s ok. The staff are very polite and always keep smiling , they are very professional ! The public bath is also wonderful, if they have outdoor bath will be better ! The breakfast, very Japanese ! Lots of choices ! I prefer the soupe and different eggs ! Highly recommended!
