May was for Mothers
Was very pleased with the room and comfortable bed. All restaurants supplied excellent food at reasonable prices . The hotel however needs a few updated /improvements. Paint was peeling off boxes on rooms veranda, headboards need replacing .Parking spaces for SUV or large cars, very tight with pillars to maneuver around.

Room patio door not secure from outside.
Booked the hotel for location and access to the beach. The room patio door had no key and could not be locked or closed from the outside, negating the advertised beach access. Key eventually arranged by maintenance staff, but was informed by them that the door could not be fully secured, this apparently is a problem for all rooms with a patio access. The beach access was recommended to us by locking the patio door from inside, depart room using the front door and go down through the hotel corridors to the beach.

Terribly Disappointed
The eture experience was terrible. The room was it cleaned at check in (17.30). The room smelled ike a sewer, upon inspection the toilet was used and not flushed, housekeeping refused to ckean the bathroom and toilet, stated she'd already done it. Hotel management seemed ambivalent about the entire situation. Will not recommend this accommodation to anyone, at any cost. Hotels.com was cintacted, however, not able to help resolve the issue.

This place has seen better days. You can tell it had a good run, but now it’s very run down and highly decadent. I did not enjoy my stay.

Stay was overall good but disappointed that the pool was under renovation when we got there. No msg or warning to let us know that the pool will be out of service especially when you coming with 3 children. Staff were abit confused on the reservation and wanted me to pay for breakfast when it clearly states on my booking that it’s inclusive.

Beautiful seaside resort
We loved the location and the views are really awesome with easy access to the beach and promenade. The pool area is amazing and well managed by the life guard. The La Vita Spa was excellent with great specials for guests. We stayed in a recently renovated 2 bedroom unit on the 3rd floor (on road level). The unit was clean and very comfortable and quite private. It was adequately equipped. There was no walk in shower only a shower in the bathtub but the bathtub is unusually high to climb into. The cell reception in the unit was poor and there are only a few DSTV channels. The areas (children's playroom and indoor bar) still to be renovated look a bit unsightly. Still we had a lovely stay and the beach makes up for everything.

The phone was not working in my room and I reported three time, they kept telling me that the gonna fix it but they didn’t. In some other places you will find towels on floor since it’s wet. But they mentioned that they are renovating the place so hopefully in future they’re going to be better

The breakfast was not good, the scrambled eggs looked like soup, something so simple to cook. The elevator numbers are so confusing, im still trying to figure it out even now.

Ballito La Montgane
Staff very friendly and always welcoming and always go the extra mile especially Nana. Food is exceptional (compliments to the chef and staff) and price points are excellent for the portions received. Studio room, a little cramped and bathroom needs TLC (possibly remove tub shower with just a shower rather). Heater & Aircon does not work effectively. Overall a good stay even thou renovations are in place The view is always exceptional

Don't stay at La Montagne
Room floors filthy, left us with dirty feet. Builders using lifts and corridors meant dust everywhere. Bathroom terrible, not fit to wash our dog in! Mould and broken items. This room should not be used for renting out. We vacated the room ASAP.

Beautiful location right on the doorstep of the beach. Newly renovated rooms are nice and spacious but the cleanliness of rooms were not good and even when the staff cleaned the job was not good
