The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room price was very reasonable. And even though the area of town is very touristy, busy and noisy, the hotel itself was quiet and relaxing. The pools, restaurant and breakfast are great. My only 'complaint' is not about the property. Kuta Beach is a lively part of Bali. There are so many convenient places to eat, shop and explore. This hotel was perhaps the best one I have had to date. My concern is with the people on the street constantly soliciting Cialis, Viagra and prostitutes. I've been to Kuta several times and this problem seems to have become worse. I only hope that local authorities can help stop this. When we checked out the staff went through our hand luggage as they believed we had taken them. They were very rude, we felt unsafe leaving our luggage with them. We will never return to the Melasti Kuta again. Poor service, substandard breakfast and large numbers of children in the pool doing swimming lessons. The rooms are large and comfortable, housekeeping was excellent. The biggest thing that was negative about this hotel was the breakfast, there was very little left even by 8am and not a big selection. Not being able to just walk over and order toast and eggs was a pain, these were done upstairs.
