Ocean Dunes 2002 | Oceanfront + Community Pool!

Gorgeous oceanfront, top floor end unit with amazing, unobstructed ocean views. Can’t get any closer than that! This 2 BR/ 2 BA condo in Ocean Dunes just underwent major remodeling. It is equipped with two sets of sliding glass doors that allow you access to your private deck from the living room and the MBR. Oceanfront master bedroom with King sized bed. The adjacent private bathroom was completely transformed and includes now a walk-in shower with tasteful tilework and a custom vanity with granite top. Second bedroom with two twin beds and closet. The guest bathroom was also totally redone and features a tub with sliding glass doors and tile surround. All new kitchen with custom build cabinets, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Counter height bar accommodates seating for 2 and the dining table includes a bench and 4 chairs. The living room has a build-in media center and is equipped with a large Smart TV (high-speed Internet). All new furniture and queen sleeper sofa with gel mattress for comfort. New floors, new ceilings, new wiring to allow for ceiling fans not only in the family room, but also in the 2 bedrooms and extra lighting.

Unit is equipped with smart key door access. Linens and towels provided. Ocean Dunes guests will have access to 3 outdoor pools, 1 indoor heated pool with whirlpool, sauna, and newly renovated fitness center, as well as basketball courts, tennis courts, shuffleboard, and children’s playground to keep everyone entertained! Beach access walkway with outdoor shower. Unit 2002 has two private parking spaces, with extra visitor parking as needed. This unit is located at the quiet end of the island, but only 1.5 miles from the Kure Beach Pier, NC Aquarium, Historic Ft. Fisher, and the Ft. Fisher Ferry, where you can enjoy a quick scenic ride to Southport for a day of sightseeing and shopping.

The rental company was amazing! Very kind and communication was excellent! The condo was the cleanest I have ever seen! Everything is so nice and updated. We will def stay here again. The carport where I parked has a light but I couldn’t figure out how to turn it on, it was very dark so that would have been a plus but other than that all was well!

We had a fantastic stay at this beach condo! It was perfect for a winter getaway—clean, updated, comfortable, and well equipped. We loved watching the sunsets and were lucky enough to see dolphins swimming by, which made the experience even more special.The location is excellent, and we really enjoyed using the condo amenities during our stay. Everything was easy to access and well maintained. The rental service was extremely helpful and attentive, making the entire process smooth from check‑in to check‑out.We will definitely be back!

My wife and I came for a get away and truly can't say enough great things about our time here. The moment you walk through the door you are drawn to the ocean view. The unit was very clean and fresh smelling and had everything we needed and more. We would keep the sliding door open in the family room with the screen closed just so we could hear the waves. If you like to sleep to a sound machine, you are in for a treat. We cracked open the sliding door in the bedroom with the screen closed and had the most amazing sound of the waves to lull us to sleep. The location was perfect, being just minutes from the ferry that takes you to South Port. We had a wonderful time just exploring that area, the food and shops. If you go to South Port which we recommend, be sure to stop at South Port Coffee. You will pass it on your left as your driving into town from the ferry. Grab a coffee or tea and then walk down to the water, grab a seat in a swing and just relax before getting on with the day. We can't wait to come back to the area and Ocean Dunes will be where we stay for sure!

Our stay at this unit was absolutely amazing. We had the most heavies of the ocean also. The pictures truly represented the condo. It was extremely clean, very updated and was equipped with everything we needed. When we left we were already talking about renting this specific unit again next year. Our host was amazing and very quick to respond to anything and questions I had. We loved being where the coquina ricks were. My husband and nephew found some beautiful seashells there.

Wonderful low-key location with beautiful views!

We enjoyed our stay and the rental company was great! The people in the office are so nice. The condo was absolutely beautiful and so clean. Check in and out was easy. This condo has so many kitchen tools, plates, and cutlery. There were books and games in cupboards that was a nice touch. The only issues we had was the kureig did not work and the one bedroom had no blinds or curtains so it was bright. Not having a kureig was disappointing because we brought kcups but there was a standard coffee maker too and the rental company offered to bring a standard one over if we needed. My other recommendation is to contact ocean dunes and see what is closed or being worked on when your visit is. The playground was being redone and the closest pool was closed, but there are 3 others to use! Overall a great stay. Thank you!

Would give more stars if I could

We stay at Kure and Carolina Beach frequently and have stayed at many rentals. This property exceeded our expectations-immaculately clean while also cozy, with lovely views and easy access to beach. It is exactly as pictured in the listing. Best of all, the property manager was beyond hospitable and compassionate. In all our years, this has been the best experience yet.

Fun vacation

The condo was very nice and clean. The pictures on the site are exact. I only have a couple of complaints: the pool area closest to this condo and the rocks. The pool are closest to us was kinda sketch. The pool looked as if it could use a cleaning and the fly issue was crazy. We grilled out once and were disqusted. The rocks in the ocean were cool at first but quickly became a nuisance. My 6 year fell on them several times and cut his knees, ankles and elbows all up. To get some actual ocean swimming in, we had to walk down the beach a bit. It was fine. We decided we'd load up our cart and swim in the pool/hang out on the beach down at the next pool these condos offer. Overall, it was a beautiful area, there weren't tons of people which is probably my favorite, and it was just chill. I would recommend an umbrella outside or something because it gets hot!!!!

AMAZING!!!

This is our third year staying at Ocean Dunes, and this is by far the best unit we have stayed in. The condo is fully renovated and very well done. Beds and couch are also nice and comfortable. They have extras blankets in the closets and family games! I liked how they also had kids plates and utensils. We did not want to leave it felt like home!!

We had a great time at this condo on Kure Beach. The condo was clean and a perfect size for our our family of five. The back patio overlooking the ocean was very nice. Check in and check out was easy. I would recommend this condo to anyone planning a trip to Kure Beach.

Condo couldn’t be better

Amazing condo, flawless, fully stocked, clean, new. The only thing was the beach. I had no idea there were so many rocks covering the shore. Will make it tough for our trip this summer to boogie board and have fun in the water. Check in process- not sure why we had to stop by the office before checking in….haven’t had to do that in years. And the code to the door didn’t work when we arrived, but she drove over right away to fix. We appreciated that.

We'll deserved R&R

My husband and I stayed here for our 5th wedding anniversary and loved the unit. I'm a home cook and really appreciated the stocked kitchen (the knives were even sharp) and the view that came it. We happened to be visiting during a King tide which was wild to watch from our balcony. Luckily our unit wasn't affected although I couldn't say the same about the beach accesses. The only downside of our stay was trying to find a safe way to get down to the beach. That couldn't be helped and no fault to anyone, we did manage to find an access. The property manager took the time to check in on us which was greatly appreciated and we would definitely stay here again.

Ocean Dunes June 2021

Very nice condo, recently renovated and in great condition. Only minor issue is the close proximity to public beach access - someone took the boogie board that we had placed next to the storage bin on the ground level. Other than that we had a great time - ate at Fish Bites, Cape Fear Seafood Company, Salt Fish Restaurant, Ida Thai Cuisine and Flaming Amy’s (takeout), and all were excellent.
