This unique corner/end unit townhome nestled in the quiet serenity of Fort Fisher will afford you and your family the vacation of your dreams. Welcome to the highly desirable Ocean Dunes resort! Our vacation rental is located on the oceanfront, giving you access to an expanse of stunning beachfront views at the southern tip of Pleasure Island. Enjoy the amenities of the resort, including multiple outdoor pools, tennis courts, shuffleboard, grills, and playgrounds for the kids. After a day at the beach, visit the recreation center for an indoor pool, spa, sauna, exercise room and clubhouse. Relax, unwind, and make lasting memories at this beautiful destination! Note: there are no facilities at Ocean Dunes for charging golf carts. Ocean Dunes covered parking is not suitable for large SUVs, please seek a first come first serve visitor parking spot for large vehicles. Always use your parking pass! USA 10 oct. 2023 #### Not our favorite VRBO experience location on the beach was great opening the sliding doors & heard the ocean. pics of the beach & narrow dune are accurate, &inside was pretty (outside was run down, esp. the splintering wood decks) & it was kind of clean (details below). Issues: check in/out info was confusing & contradictory. Even the woman we spoke with agreed. we had to drive across town for keys, a coded lock would be nice, esp. to check in after 5pm. description is not completely accurate ie: The comm. area doesnt look like the pics & there aren't 2 covered parking spaces. There is 1 covered & 1 uncovered. dining table was extremely sticky.(I hope from age not food). No working nightlights, in unfamiliar home this is a safety concern. The sheets and towels that we were forced to purchase were clean but don't look in or behind anything bec it was very cluttered and/or dirty. You pay for linens for max occupancy. The wifi wasnt working, when we called on arrival Sat were told to call back Mon. I lost over a day of work and it took away from my vaca to make it up. but on Mond the response was reasonable. You pay for 90% of parking, be aware. Power was lost during Ophelia & there was a radio chained to shelf but it didn’t work &no batts, as well as no ER lights (flashlight etc). With no radio we couldn’t track storm or hear ER info. Safety concern. Liked that it was a two story unit and don’t have to worry about going to top floor to go in or having others above us. Thought having to stop for a key would be aggravating but was easy and not out of the way. There was a small ant problem in the kid’s bedroom when we got there. After some checking I saw there was a pile of empty popsicle wrappers under the edge of the bed at the window that I assume had attracted them. Other than this the place was nice and as always we really enjoyed Kure Beach. ##### Lee B. If you are looking for the crowds this is not it. Very quiet and relaxing. Easy access to the beach. Loved riding our bikes and exploring. Short drive to the action. The only negatives were you cannot have a golf cart, no where to charge them. There were no cleaning supplies and make sure to bring extra washcloths and paper products. The view from the decks are second to none other in the area. Clean comfortable living space that has plenty of amenities and a short 2 minute walk across the dunes to the surf.
