I was hosting 5 colleagues in this hotel as part of an extended country-wide business trip. Upon check-in, the front desk staff informed me that given the size of the booking, they would generously upgrade us to better rooms. How wonderful! They chose to upgrade two of my guests and didn't offer me an upgrade at all. Instead, I was placed in a basement room that smelled of mold, had a broken safe, shower door and refrigerator. I was gobsmacked. I returned to the desk and kindly requested that the fridge and safe issues be addressed. They assured me they would handle it while I was out for meetings. They never did. In two days, nothing was repaired and the offer to move me never offered. Absolutely shocking, abysmal service (albeit with a smile!). I will not return, which is disappointing since we will be expanding our business in the region.
