"Nice traditional room, and fun Japan-style resort experience. The cave onsen is phenomenal! Also convenient that the Lawson’s is on site near the lobby. Only downside, I was hoping for a spa-like massage, but bypassed since it had the ambiance of a physical therapy or bone-setting clinic. "

"Whole hotel looks like it was good 20 years ago and someone just forgot to do anything with it since. We booked a non smoking room but when we entered the room the smoke was so heavy I could taste it and there were burn marks all over the carpet. We asked to be moved and got a new room which smellt like a mixture of smoke and peppermint airfreshener to hide it. At least in this room it was still manageable. Stains in the carpet but bedlinnen and bathroom were clean. Personell was friendly...

"We had a very good night Sansuikan Kawayu Matsuya. They share hot springs and the restaurant with a nearby hotel. Hot springs are the absolute standout: fantastic! Food is good and plentiful. Our room had a brilliant view. All the rest is okay, although the exterior of the building is not nice."
