The hotel is near to くまもとじょう Kumamoto-jō 熊本城. You can just walk for ten seconds and can arrive. The room is smaller than what I expect and see from the pictures. It’s a stunning icon but you can see the scares that that the earthquake destroyed. The hotel is 10-15 mins from midtown and quieter. I was a solo traveler but was lucky enough since they gave me a twin bedroom which is spacious for me. The downside was accessing to the laundry where people need to walk in front of the reception. Also, if you expect western breakfast, it’s a bit limited.
