The rooms and hallways were hand painted & signed by the artist. Theres a working fish export business downstairs & a seafood restaurant upstairs. It's got a lot going on but it still feels quiet. The fish boats something operate during the night, so it can get a little noisy and smelly but that's living & working in a fishing village. The bed was firm but comfy and I had a great view of the lake and could watch the fishermen work from my balcony. The one lady on staff during my stay was fabulous; kind, friendly and super helpful. It's right by the riverside & the view is a sight to behold. Departure jetty points are closeby. Restaurants are plenty with one Chinese food restaurant right in the hotel itself. There are many things to like about this hotel. Perhaps a night staff on duty might help. Water provided is their own boiled water, so if you prefer, buy your own bottled water. You wont have a good night sleep as due to boating noise from the sea. While we were really mesmerized by the design of you hotel, we were disappointed by some of the events that happened during our stay. 1) Water disruption on 15th of July which lasted till we checked out causing inconveniences (can't take bath, can't flush the toilet etc) 2) Our package was suppose to come with breakfast but there were none. 3) The access card quality is bad (very thin), when we accidentally break it, we were asked to pay RM50\. The replacement card given were the thicker one. 4) Room WIFI is not working, there were signal but we were unable to access (error : access unauthorized). Design was unique as well. Would be even more satisfied if noise filtering was better. I can literally hear the a lot of noises. The hotel has no elevator therefore, if it is inconvenient for you to climb the stairs, then this is not the place to go to.
