We have visited 4N5D for our friends wedding party. We satisfied room and pool, and other facilities. But foods are not so good. This is the only point we could not enjoy at this place. However, if you have vehicles to drive to beach road side restaurant, they are good to enjoy Thai foods.

Good Hotel but too commercial
Loved the hotel, location, staff but everything is way to expensive for the location. I have stayed in several resorts before but no one charged to ride a bicycle. We paid a deposit which was returned after the bike is returned but ONLY in Anantara they charge 100 thb for 1 hr rental and the list goes on. Airport shuttle one way is 1650 which I thought was expensive too for what we are paying for the stay and food. Drinks are 300+ a drink min but the cocktails are not good. Please change your pillows...they are very soft with lumps inside.

Excellent resort hotel
This hotel consistently exceeded expectations in terms of rooms, staff, restaurants and overall quality. This was my 5th stay and it seems to consistently provide excellent guest experience

A lovely resort however...
It is a beautiful resort in a lovely location but be warned that the marine park is closed from May to October. It was a long way to come to not be able to swim in the ocean so I wish the Hotels.com website had notified us of this. We had a good stay despite this disappointment.

The service is great. The staff goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy and satisfied. Unfourtunately that can not make me look passed the condition of the facilities. The hotel is old and needs some TLC. The rooms are worn and weathered to many critters (flies, frogs, mosquitoes, geckos etc...) are around the entrances of the room and even in the room. Traveled with 2 young kids so the critters were a major concern. Breakfast was good with lots of selections and worth adding to the stay. Dinner was disappointing and not worth the price Hotel is about 45min-hour from the Trang airport. Yao beach is about 20km away and worth the trek.

Not worth the money
Service in Thailand is always fabulous. But everything else was not worth the money. My shower still had the previous guests' hair and soap. Some of the outlets weren't working. As a fix , I was told to blow dry my hair next to the bar in the room. The bed was uncomfortable. Overall for the money we paid I expected more. Oh and tell your guests who are only staying two nights and basically one day that they need to sign up very early for the boat to the hotels island. Breakfast was good some days, others not. And don't take the yoga class. But do go to the spa. Very relaxing and great massage.

It was a precious experience in the hotel. There are a lot of delicious food with reasonable prices. In additition, the kid's room, which the staffs are kind and friendly, helps my kids to enjoy it. However, I felt other staffs are not profferional. Other than that, I would like to recommend this hotel in overall.

Nice resort with a childcare
The resort is pretty secluded. 1hr30+mins drive from Krabi Airport. Staffs are friendly and attend to your needs. Some missing amenities in the room which are quickly addressed by the staff. Kids club at the resort is great, with activities and toys for toddlers to explore and with ample space for kids to run about. The view at my room is exactly the same as the hotel photo gallery very surreal. Just 2 minor issues which can be improved. 1. Room Service timing is only until 10pm, which is kind of restricted 2. Return airport transfer MPV aircon is spoiled, we are sweating all the way to the airport

Great stay, but more of a 4-star hotel
Went with my girlfriend to this hotel for 4 nights, and was expecting a truly great 5-star resort. While it was a really wonderful stay, we had a couple small issues with the hotel. Overall, it is has nice facilities, food was excellent, and the service was very good. However, the hotel felt more like a 4-star hotel instead of a 5-star. Small things could have been fixed to make this a much more luxurious experience and the hotel in general needs some updating. For instance, the adults only pool really needs to be re-grouted as it looks like it is aging. The furniture in the rooms are getting a little old, and the gym could definitely use some updating and cleaning. Despite these small things, we would still really recommend this hotel. Be wary of the prices of all the lunch and dinner buffets though - it is much cheaper to eat a la carte at their Beach House restaurant. Definitely recommend going on their two-island excursion.

Amazing!
The resort is located in a beautiful part of Krabi and it takes about 1.5 hours to reach. Despite the dated look of the resort, it can be easily overlooked by the wonderful service given by the staff of the resort. The services of the drivers, receptionists, promoter (Chloe), the managers & staff at the restaurants and everywhere around the resort including the staff at Koh Kradan beach, were impeccable! We were impressed! Thank you for treating us so well and always find the time to chat with us and suggesting fun activities. We wish you all the best!

Comfortable stay in the peaceful location
The hotel is located in the remote and quiet area next to the coast with an amazing view which is nice but from other side all the sights and shops/restaurants are far away. Rooms are super clean and staff super helpful though on occassions we faced communication barrier with Thai staff. It's good place for family or romantic flopout. Both pools are amazing too. Though for the beach and swim it's recommended to go to another island Koh Kradan.

Very very nice hotel, amazing staff and activities. The facilities were great and the beach was quiet and pristine. It is not in Krabi and there is nothing near this hotel though.

Amazing rooms, views and grounds. Absolutely 5* No tampons anywhere at resort: closest bodega was 15min. I mean women are half of population no? Why isn't this a common room amenity? Also beach is not swimmable.

nice huge green resort at the beach!
it is great for a family with kids. we had wonderful 5 nights stay around christmas and also joined their christmas party which was cool - dinner prep, location, stage, live band, Santa gifting kids etc. not so positive - we didn't do our research and found out after reaching at airport that it wasn't really krabi and 1.5hours away a taxi ride. also found mosquitos in room but good supply of spray and repellent. food is good but on the expensive side. overall a totally recommended place

Decent stay but could improve
It was a mixed stay. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a sea view room. Beautiful view. Our air con was broken upon arrival and the hotel quickly fixed it. In the evening we got a chocolate plate to apologize for the air con. The staff was super friendly. Food was OK. Food took awhile to be prepared. Breakfast buffet decent. Kids club ok. Need activities more for boys. Turned on movies most of the time. Beach was dirty with trash.

Wonderful views, small rooms
A large hotel on the beach with incredible views over the Andanan coast. We found the room in wonderful condition, but too small for a family of five. It was simply the same room as a double, but with the couch taken out and a bunk and trundle chucked in. Wonderful food, friendly staff, especially the activity staff and wonderful kids club. Awesome pool, beach was a bit choppy and muddy for us, but this may have been th time of year.

Wonderful family vacation
Anantara Si Kao provided a wonderful week for our family of 5. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast every morning and loved going to the beach/pool. Had a fun adventure visiting the nearby cave (via boat ride) and snorkeling (thanks to Mr. Bunty!). Kids loved the kids' center so much that they asked to go every afternoon (ages 5,7). The location is quite remote, so there aren't many options for dining other than on property. Highly recommend Anantara Si Kao.

Our second honeymoon.
We had a beautiful stay with a nice room close to the swimmingpool. The hotel is very nice, but you could not use the beach. The beach was clean and nice, but too much seashells and the longtailboats was going very close. The service was absolute professional and nice. We went to Anantara Si Kao to have a nice quit time, and thats what we got. We are sure to go back later, because we are living not far from the hotel.

A beautiful place
Very very nice place on the beach.Food and the staff is excellent. Nice pool ,Spa and the trips to he islands. Only down side is the room which is bit outdated and the beds are very uncomfortable to sleep and gives a back ache.(Delux room). We could not upgrade the room unfortunately. Despite that I would go back again.

Overall disappointing for Anantara. This hotel was not even comparable to my stay at Anantara Seminyak in Bali (which was absolutely amazing). Overall location is not great-- the beach view looks directly at a road which was a big surprise. It is a nice hotel for island hopping around the Trang islands, but the actual beach at Anantara is not great-- covered in shells and even hard to take a walk on. It is great for families, but otherwise a bit boring unless you are only looking to island hop. The team that runs the excursions and tours is great and overall service was on par with my expectations. Room aesthetic/decor and cleanliness, as well as the view/location did not meet my expectations- seems much more like a 4 star hotel than 5 star.

The location is a big part of the resorts charm and uniqueness and there are many interesting activities offered by the resort designed to help guests connect with the environment. The hotel offers two main swimming pools for guests enjoy during the days when conditions are not suitable for swimming at the beach or for boat excursions. November - April is the ideal time to enjoy the full range of water based activities and excursions offered by the resort. Our Island excursion program feature trips to nearby reefs and beaches on islands 20 mins - 30 minutes by speed boat. Not a place for people without kids!
Totally family & children orientated, not what I wanted but the adults only pool was a nice escape from other people's kids! Otherwise this would have been an ideal quiet escape, beautiful isolated location. Clear water for swimming (mind the shells!) I had a ocean view room on the 3rd floor great view, good size, nice layout & comfortable. Great towels in the bathroom. 3.5-4 out of 5 beach club was nice, dive team were great guys, but don't stay here if you want to get away from children! Very courteous staff, food a bit mediocre but breakfast was extensive.

near perfect for family with kids
Great hospitality and very good hotel for family with kids - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and special menu mention to Chef Mohan for taking care of our vegetarian needs. On the flip side, hotel mostly caters to Scandinavian folks given they get a lot of guests from Europe - while not a big deal, it does somewhat alienate other guests given some kid activities were just for Scandinavian families. Also some of the rooms or facilities could use upgrade. But overall a great vacation and highly recommend it to others.

If you wish to getaway and really relax...
We had a very good dinner at Aqua.the Italian restaurant with wonderful views of the Beach. Danilo the Sicilian Chef did not fail to impress. Try the mixed Starter/ Entre plate, the baby chicken, the Tom Yum Seafood Rissotto and the Beef with Rosemary was delicious but expensive. The Thai Restaurant on the ground floor was good too. The Spa signature massage was good but although I made bookings beforehand, I was unable to secure a booking that included a scrub.

Service is very good. Buffet is very nice and full of variety too.However, room start to get a bit tun down. Some stuffs like towels should be replaced as they are easily done. Surrounding is nice.

If relaxing is for you this is the place to do it
My sister, brother in-law, husband and I were wanting a relaxing holiday where reading and eating would be the most strenuous activities we would have to do.I finished four books and lets just say I will be walking for the next two weeks to walk off all the wonderful food I ate, especially breakfast. The view from our Ocean facing room was just beautiful. My brother in-law had a problem with his leg and couldn't manage the stairs so after two days we were upgraded, free of charge to ground floor Ocean facing rooms with our own private plunge pool. Spectacular. Food was wonderful. The Beach house does amazing Thai food and the club sandwiches were yum. Great Italian restaurant upstairs. Staff, especially Bunty the resort manager were very friendly and helpful. Bunty pops up everywhere and has a lot of ideas to make your stay a memorable one. Only down side, it was low season so the gift shop was closed, so nowhere to buy milk, water,beer etc. Had to pay hotel 400 Baht to be taken to mini mart as no taxis's and too far to walk. I Think this service should be free. Also take your receipt when you sign something to your room or keep a tally. Just makes things easier when it comes to pay at the end. But wow, what a place and the beach view, spectacular.

Great secluded beach location
This hotel has been one of my favorite properties when visiting Thailand for several years. All the amenites of a five star hotel at four star price. Staff always strives to satisfy any request with grace and competence. The only needed improvements are wifi in breakfast restaurant is very sporadic, and bath towels need upgrade.

Very family friendly resort. The staff were excellent and willing to help. The breakfast had a wide selection to choose from. Highly recommend this resort.

Pros Family oriented One stop shopping you don't really have to leave the resort Nice beach and pretty clean with national park Buffet food was good Cons Expensive for value Small rooms for family Odd smells in certain outdoor areas Limited choice on food options but for a few nights OK Off the beaten path a bit

The Anti-Tourist Spot
This was the perfect place to unwind. There's a fair amount to do on the resort, but the area around it is sleepy. I wanted quiet and relaxing, so this fit the bill perfectly. The staff is very friendly and highly accommodating.

Fantastic Get-Away
I spent two nights there in August 2014. This is a fantastic resort with an attentive--yet not intrusive--staff, great facilities, and absent all of the hustle and bustle of Krabi and Phuket.

Relaxing family holiday
Great customer service focused hotel and very friendly. Really kids friendly and an amazing kids room for young kids. Great food in the Beach Bar. Superb staff. Great breakfasts. wonderful hotel to relax, unwind and switch off. lots of activities available through the hotel, though the hotel is some distance from other towns.
