The hotel was very nice, beautiful view of the mountains and walking distance to food and shopping. The staff was very nice and friendly. There was a very good breakfast included in our stay too.

Mediocre at best, ugly views from windows
Big disappointment. Location was not next to beach and surrounded by poorly planned crowded construction and surrounddd by cranes as new buildings were under construction. When searching, it was listed at $46/night, so cheap, however, for some reason, I was charged $115 by Hotels.com and nothing I could do to fix it! Only redeeming thing, the restaurant room service was killer! Like the best pad Thai and green curry EVER. However, breakfast buffet was disappointing.

Beautiful roof top view of the city with a pool. It seems like not many people know about it, so take a look! Very nice staff and clean rooms, however, wifi was not great on our floor.

Super location and great view from top floor
If you want good view from balcony, 6th and 7th floors are the best. Good breakfast - varieties and quality. 15 mins walk to Ao Nang beach. Value for money.

South African Visit
Stay was good. Friendliness of reception staff can be better. Staff at the desk for activities is lazy and can do more effort. Cleaners is working hard and is very friendly. Pool-bar staff is excellent and friendly. The hotel may considder to do a BBQ at the pool and put on some music. The bathrooms in the bedrooms permamently got a bad smell due to building's sewerage layout. Overall a good hotel and value for money.

It's quite good hotel with beautiful view. We had room on 7th floor. it's a little bit strange that you have a lift till 6th floor and than you should walk. for me it was Ok but probably for older people it could be problem. The internet is very bad!!!!. at the beginning they told us story that there is internet problem in our room only and tomorrow they are going to fix it. it wasn't done. the room was quite old but clean and comfortable with amazing view balcony. one word i should tell about bed. Don't even think to jump on it - you can broke your chest. breakfast was great. Overall I have good feeling after staying in this hotel and would recommend to stay here.

This was a very average if not below average place to stay. My girlfriend and I weren't very thrilled with this pick. We asked for a double bed and got two singles pushed together. The shower barely worked and the sink doesn't drain. The room had an odd odour to it as well. Wifi was terrible to get on to and to stay connected. The pool is pretty nice and the view from our room was good.

we got room on the 2 and 6th floor, both confortable and with a view. room at 2nd were on the pool, on the 6th with sea view. excellent deal for the price we got. don't look for a bar if raining, there is none. it us supposed to be at the breakfast place which is not a funny place even if breakfast are generous!

Convenient and clean but no wifi
I reserved a room with wo single beds. When we got there to check in they seemed confused about something and then came to tell me that they could only give us a room with a king bed. The bed was big though and relatively comfortable. We never got the wifi to work. The breakfast was great though and the staff is friendly. The area is also great for restaurants and shopping but away from all the bars and resorts so it's still quiet at night.

Best breakfast buffet
We really liked this hotel. We stayed here almost a week and were very happy overall! The staff were very friendly and the breakfast buffet was excellent! The wifi was a bit rough going but we found that in most of Thailand anyways.

They wouldnt bother to give sick partner a tissue
The room and facilities were quite okay for the price. All I can remember from this hotel is one thing: The customer service was incredibly unfriendly. Anytime we requested something they were rude and they seemed to not wanting to be bothered with our request (e.g. a replacement for the broken hairdryer). On the last day my partner fell sick, she needed some water for the pills before we travelled on. The hotel charged us 60 baht for the water and when asking for tissues the front desk woman said "dont have". Only after I got upset with the service they would reveal the large tissue box that was on the table on her right. Do yourself a favour and spend your money at another hotel.

This hotel is 2 * at best. Do your self a favour and do not book this hotel!! When we checked in our room had a really terrible dirty smell like it had not been used or cleaned in months so we asked twice for someone to spray some airfreshener - they never did. We went out for the rest of the afternoon and came back to find giant cockroaches in the bathroom along with several bugs in the bed. When we complained to management about it on the telephone they said someone would come up to look. We waited for 30 minutes and no one showed up so we went down to reception to see what was going on. The manager was unbelievably rude and said it was our problem not his! He was unwilling to do anything to help us and was very rude. In the end he left without offering us any resolve. We ended up booking ourselves into another hotel (blue sotel -highly recommend it!!) After paying upfront for 3 nights at krabi cha-da. We figured we would rather loose the €400 we paid for the 3 nights and actually enjoy our trip by staying else where because we would have been miserable in the cha-da.

Good hotel with nice view
Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. Comfortable and spacious room, nice pool and good breakfast. Having stayed at another hotel in Krabi for the 2 nights prior to our stay at Krabi Cha-Da, this hotel was an improvement and much better value for money. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink and cool towel which was a nice touch, the check-in process was quick and smooth and our room was suitable for our 2 night stay. We'd booked a double room but it was actually 2 beds pushed together, however this didn't bother us as we weren't staying long. The pool area was great and a real sun trap. The service for drinks around the pool was a little slow but overall it was great to chill out in this area. The food options at breakfast were good and we would stay here again.

Beautiful scenery.
For some reason, hotel didn't know of my arrival. But the manager made some calls and i was in the room by 15mins. I read about the hill going up to the hotel, but i find it not so bad.(I have Asthma mind u) Search arround 1st for the best price for the island tour, as the price varries. Got mine from the Bamboo Restaurant which is much cheaper. Food is never a problem for me. As i'm a Muslim, there's so many Halal food retaurant arround which surprised me.

Excellent value in Krabi
We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. They have 3 pools, one of which is on the rooftop, and all have amazing views. We were upgraded to a deluxe room and appreciated the nices/larger room. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk to the beach and is at the top of a hill but niether walk was too challenging.

A wonderful and friendly hotel!

Perfect hotel near Ao Nang at a great price
We were 100% satisfied with everything about this hotel, from the beautiful rooms, great pool, delicious buffet breakfast, value for money, to the exceptional service. For some, this location might be slightly remote, but it was great for us - only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and more quiet being a bit removed from the main road (a 1-2 minute walk up a steep hill). We would absolutely recommend this place to friends, family, and anyone looking for a great hotel the area!

Great Hotel Value
Our room was great, we were greeted with welcome drink and the bell boy quickly get our stuff. They helped us to get into our room. There was problem with the satelite and the tv didn't work. They offered us a free wifi but also didn't work. When I complained to the manager in the morning, he was rude and didn't seem to be sincerely sorry. The hotel is only 10 minutes walk from aonang and a lot of things around. It's so sad how such a nice hotel have a such a dissapoting manager.

The room was ok but i have more negative points than positive like: 1) Restaurant not so good and very expensive for Krabi 2) Thousand of Mosquitos 3) I was sleeping and suddenly the air conditioner and TV were not working and when I called the rececption to undersand why the guy the picked up the fone was almost sleeping and couldn't even speak to me and for sure didn't know what was happening so I had to wait almost an hour to have the air and TV working again. 4) At the sametime that I woke up becase of the air ( the room was so hot) and I was listening screams and laughs coming to the pool and for my surprise that were 3 persons drunk around 4am at th pool and again I asked the same asleep guy in the reception to go ther or send the secuirty to stop making a lot of noises ad nothing was done !!! Tks God i didn't have a baby or young children because would be a problem !!!

Great Hotel
I'm very surprised to see some of the negative reviews on here, it really is a very good hotel. I've stayed here twice now. The rooms are very nice, the staff polite and helpful (yes, their English isnt great, but we are in Thailand here!). My only criticism is the pay wifi in the rooms, this should be an essential now. Apart from that, a great hotel, I'd strongly recommend it.

First day we arrived and only lift was not working and our room was on the 7th floor. Was told by hotel staff problem would be rectified by 6pm. After that the staff gave us all sorts of excuses. Finally lift worked at about 8pm. Front desk staff could not speak or understand English. Breakfast was the same every day. Got bored with it. Hotel condition is a little rundown compared to its photos on the net. Swimming pool is located on the second floor and is average. The pool can also be accessed directly by the rooms on the 2nd floor. Therefore security may be an issues for these rooms. Hotel is situated on a small hill. So be prepared to walk up.

Reliable hotel
I did not actually stay at this Krabi Cha-da, but am rating it highly because the staff did an excellent job handling a difficult situation. My husband and I arrived at the hotel only to find out that they were having some problems with their air conditioning. Recognizing that our stay would likely be uncomfortable without air conditioning, the staff had already taken the initiative to book my husband and I in another resort right on the beach for the duration of our stay - at the same price. I checked the prices for the replacement hotel and it would have cost quite a bit more had we booked their initially. I appreciate that the staff at Krabi Cha-da made our trip hassle free.

The hotel is conveniently located near the heart of the city/beach (15 min walk). The accommodations are nice, but nothing to rave about. One thing to note is that the bed mattresses are extremely hard! Can be compared to plywood boards. My fiance wasn't able to sleep well throughout the trip.

I just spent a week (together with 5 family members) at the resort, which was very dissapointing in two regards: The kitchen was awfull - especially breakfast and dinner was very bad, whereas poolside lunch was all right. The second dissapointment was the very unstable and limited internet and the total lack of competence of the staff to solve the ongoing problems in this regards. Service by the pool side/bar was very, very slow.

a great vacation retreat
We spent 5 days of our honeymoon at Cha-Da and had a lovely stay. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable with great views. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pools are nice and they have motorbikes available for rent.
