Reception area is spacious and bright. Receptionist Julian is very friendly and professional, always has a smile on her face. Corridors are clean and bright. My room has distant views and even a fraction of the Victoria Harbour scenery. Everything else is tidy and clean. To sum up, its the best accommodation experience in Hong Kong for the price paid. The Rhine Guesthouse is on the 13th floor and the small elevators are slow. The elevators are in an “arcade” of Indian restaurants and money changers. It’s a gritty place, the rooms are small and spartan. The front desk lady is super nice, she gave us many suggestions on sightseeings, transportation and dining places, which saved a lot of money for us. After 45 minutes of haggling they made us just pay the $45hkd 'taxes'. Felt like a full on scam as we had a baby with us and needed somewhere to stay. Room was clean and small but building is old and full of dodgy characters.
