When checking in you are asked to use Whatsapp to send photos of your booking (Wifi available). For some reason I could not attach photos and the reception staff was very kind helping me to check in anyway which I truly appreciate. When checking out a younger man in the reception told me I could only store my bag with them if was a "special guest", which I only could become if leaving a review. This was confusing as you cannot leave a review at Hotels before checking out time has passed and he had no other solutions to offer how to deal with that. Lucky me I had stayed at the hotel a few days before and could write a review on that stay (this was my idea). I was also noting that the male staff stood next to me when I wrote the review so it felt like he was overlooking what score I gave the hotel. So keep this in mind when interpreting the score. Some of the negative reviews that almost turned me off coming here are with hindsight like people booking a budget airline then getting mad that the seats have less legroom than they're used to. The staff was very helpful here. The accommodation is in what i think is a partially converted residential building. There are multiple hotels in this building. The rooms are cramped. The walls aren't clean and thin. The bathrooms might be shared depending on your room. The hot water doesn't last forever. But you pay less than just about anywhere else for a private room in a prime location. I didn't notice any bugs. My sheets and towel were nice and clean. The mattress was comfy. Air conditioner worked fine. Showers had hot water for about two minutes, so i just turned the water off while soaping and never ran out. This is a good place for what you pay and frankly a lot better than what passes for budget accommodation in much of the rest of Asia.
