We provide complimentary transfers to the villa, both upon your arrival and your departure. Overview: At Villa Emerald you have your own Swimming pool, separate jetted Plunge Pool, beautiful tropical Living and Dining area, Reading area and restful Sala alcove with oriental mattresses, spacious open plan, brand-new, fitted Kitchen and Dining area and delightful Bedroom with balcony. There is also a tropical Yoga/meditation/massage area with attached shower room. Throughout all areas within this private villa there are outstanding ocean views. Villa Emerald is surrounded by beautiful nature, amazing rock formations and situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. This stunning Villa is located on hillside land with fantastic ocean views of the Gulf of Thailand, and the surrounding islands. It is ideally suited for couples. Villa Emerald, situated on the 22 acre area of ocean view hillside land known as Sitara Retreat, is a private residency, that provides 24 hour security. The front entrance to the villa is through Chinese doors to a spacious, open plan, fully fitted Kitchen and Dining area set amidst striking granite boulders and stunning ocean views. Across a small bridge is the spacious Bedroom en-suite with bath and walk in shower. The Bedroom has a balcony, which offers panoramic ocean views. All our villas have spectacular ocean views that are outstanding. The bedroom at Villa Emerald provides the most sumptuous views of all. Steps lead down to a tropical style Living room, with SMART flat screen tv with Netflix and Youtube. Here is also is a Dining area with table and chairs. Leading from the living area is a separate Reading room with bookcase with a selection of books and an attractive trellis open air Sala retreat with oriental mattresses and Lotus pond with colourful fish and turtles. From the Living area is the salt water swimming pool, separate jetted plunge pool, decking with sun beds and gas barbecue with magnificent ocean views. Outside rain shower to the pool. From the Living area, there are steps down to the lovely, tropical style Yoga/mediation/massage area with an attached shower room. This has been beautifully created in a peaceful setting, with surrounding lush greenery and fabulous views. Yoga mats provided. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen provided. The villa is cleaned after every 3 nights, with change of clean bed linen and towels also after every 3 nights. Small bottle of shower gel and shampoo provided for the first night. Small utility area provided with washing machine, clothes dryer, iron, ironing board and guest wc. Neighbourhood description: Villa Emerald is for couples that want a private and beautiful setting with the most amazing ocean views that look over to the islands and also the mainland over 20 kilometres away. Within 5 drive from the Villa there is the charming area of Laem Sett. Within this area there is local Laem Sett beach, which is quiet and secluded. Here one can enjoy and admire a beautiful sunset, and sometimes see the local fishermen with their long tailed boats come into shore. Located on the beach is the popular Thai style Cool Bar when you can enjoy good food and a drink whilst soaking up the tranquil atmosphere. Also close by is ShaSa Resort, Centara Villas Resort and Samui Orchid which opens its doors to non residents and has many facilities to enjoy, including smart restaurants and bars. There are many fine restaurants serving delicious Thai and Western food, coffee shops, mini-marts for your daily needs, well reputed massage shops, taxi services etc within 5-10 min drive of the villa. Amphoe Ko Samui Stadium, only a 6 min drive away, is home to many popular sports events, where visitors can come to watch the activities. It is located in an attractive area, surrounded by a lake/reservoir where there is a football field, basketball etc and you can also walk around or jog with lots of shade. Also outdoor fitness park with brightly coloured exercise equipment which is free to use. Less than 10 mins away by car you have the fishing village of Baan Hua Thanon where fresh fish, fruit and vegetables are sold daily at the local market and also the home of several small local shops, coffee shops, doctors surgery, 24 hour Seven-Eleven grocery shop with ATM, together with a Chinese Temple. Lamai is a beach side tourist town a 10 min drive from the Villa. There are individual shops offering locally made souvenirs and clothes. When the sun goes down the streets come alive with lights from the night market and variety of restaurants serving excellent Thai and western dishes in the town and on the beach. Thai boxing is also popular and Lamai has its own professional and amateur boxing ring. Nearby to the villa many of the island's main attractions are less than 10 mins drive away, which include Namsuang Waterfalls, Crocodile Farm, Elephant trekking, The Grandmother Grandfather Rocks, water sports, excellent Thai cookery classes, a snake farm and many temples, amongst others. Here there still has the feel on Koh Samui of over 20 years ago, unlike the north of the island. We are frequently told by guests they find the Thai people in this southern part of the island extremely hospitable, and welcoming. In the north where it is far more crowded and touristy on the island there is not always the opportunity to discover the true warmth and charm of the local people. Remember nowhere on the island is more than 50 minutes away. The southern part of the island, where the villa is located, remains pretty much unspoiled, especially compared to the north. It still has that rustic charm appeal that the whole of Samui boasted years ago. La villa est plus grande qu'il n'y parait sur les photos. La vue est superbe, de chaque pièce. Die Kommunikation fand über WhatsApp statt. Dave erzählte uns während der Fahrt sehr viel über die Insel und Sehenswürdigkeiten.Die Villa ist über eine sehr steile Zufahrt zu erreichen, was aber glücklicherweise mit den zur Unterkunft gehörenden Autos kein Problem darstellt. Die Anlage ist sehr ruhig und die Villa ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen längeren Aufenthalt benötigt. Hervorzuheben sind der atemberaubende Blick über das Meer vom Schlafzimmer - bei gutem Wetter kann man bis zum Festland schauen. Da die Villa sehr offen gehalten ist, kam man nicht drum herum, die wundervolle, interessante Flora und Fauna Ko Samuis zu bestaunen. Dave war stets erreichbar und antwortete unverzüglich auf Nachrichten.Nach dem "Check-out" wurden wir von Dave zum Flughafen gefahren. ##### Sven H. When my daughter and I arrived at the Villa Emerald, our jaws dropped at the stunning view we were given. As you walk out on the balcony, on either of three levels, you will be greeted by the extraordinary view of the island below and horizon line of the sea. The Villa is very clean, beautifully decorated and located in a more private part of the island, as it is way up in the hills, surrounded by jungles. We had everything we needed for a perfect stay, including a washing machine for our laundry needs and a car, so we could freely make it from one place to another without having to rely on local transportation. We also were conveniently located about 10 min from Lamai Beach, which from our experience was the best beach, as it does not require you to bring any belongings, since the beach restaurants provide towels and beach chairs with umbrellas with the purchase off of their menu. David (the host) met us at the Koh Samui Airport, and showed us around the island before our arrival at the Villa, and he drove us to the airport upon our departure. Our stay was amazing as a whole, and David and Neung made it most enjoyable by accommodating our every need and providing any information for us. ##### Anna L. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Die offenen Räume empfanden wir so, als wenn man ein Teil der Umgebung ist. Der Ausblick ist spektakulär. Unsere Bedenken bezüglich der möglichen Tierwelt haben sich nicht bestätigt. Geckos, mal ein Frosch am Teich und wenige Moskitos gehören halt dazu und haben nicht gestört. Der Reinigungsservice war TOP, David hat unsere Anfragen schnell beantwortet und war auch sonst sehr zuverlässig und freundlich. Der Flughafentransfer hat super geklappt. Die anderen 2 Villenbewohner haben wir nie gesehen, obwohl alle 3 Villen fast durchgängig ausgebucht waren. Man bekommt auch sonst kaum etwas von den anderen Bewohnern mit, da offensichtlich alle an einer ruhigen Atmosphäre interessiert sind und Rücksicht nehmen. Normalerweise würden wir 5 Sterne ohne Bedenken geben, den Abzug gibt es für den schmutzigen Pool am Ankunftstag (wurde 1 Tag später gemacht), sowie aus unserer Sicht notwendige kleinere Renovierungsarbeiten (Wasserflecke an der Decke, rostige Gitter am Pool) und 2 defekte Küchengeräte. Alles nicht dramatisch, aber Empfehlung für die Verantwortlichen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen, die Villa ist eine klare Empfehlung. ##### Olaf D. Die Bilder vermitteln eigentlich diesen Eindruck schon sehr, jedoch ist man noch viel überwältigter, wenn man dieses zauberhafte Haus betritt. Es gab absolut nichts daran auszusetzen. Alles war einfach perfekt und mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet und gestaltet. Besonders das Schlafzimmer, wo man vom Bett aus zu zwei Seiten direkt aufs Meer schauen kann, war der absolute Wahnsinn. Aber auch das offene "Wohnzimmer" mit angrenzender Leseecke und der Poolbereich stehen dem in nichts nach. Wir waren schlichtweg begeistert. Auch am Service gab es absolut nichts auszusetzen. David holte uns vom Flughafen ab und erzählte uns schon auf dem Weg zur Villa, wo man über all gut essen gehen kann und was man auf keinen Fall verpassen darf. Während des Aufenthalts konnte man ihn problemlos erreichen, wenn man Fragen/Wünsche/Sorgen hatte. Alle zwei Tage kam ein sehr freundliches und wunderbares Reinigungsteam, mit dem man immer gut plaudern konnte und die alles dafür getan haben, dass man sich dort wohl fühlte. Auch am Abreisetag hat David uns zum Flughafen gebracht und wir konnten ihn nochmal ganz in Ruhe über die thailändische Kultur ausquetschen. Alles in allem war es also ein sehr toller Aufenthalt. Wir würden uns in jedem Fall wieder für dieses Haus entscheiden. Es ist ein absolutes Traumhaus. ##### Lisa H. David was very accommodating, he picked us up from the airport and gave us lots of useful information on the way to the villa. The villa is spread across 3 floors, the living room, kitchen and dining room is all open planned, giving you the feeling you are living outdoors. The sea-views were beautiful from all floors, my favourite being from the bedroom.I recommend the villa to anyone who loves nature and being outdoors, my only advice is to make sure you wear mosquito repellent! Having a car included was very useful, we were able to travel around the whole island in the 5 days we were there. There is a supermarket just down the road for all your breakfast needs. Everything went perfectly from being collected at the airport by Dave to the time I had there. It. Was very peaceful and private and I really enjoyed just staying there enjoying the sun and cooling off in the pool. Everything you want is there and Dave is constantly thinking of ways to improve ve your stay. Drawbacks - 53 steps up to the car park and the hard bed. Bit the overall experience was fantastic and far outweighed the negatives that I found. Dave has several villas all finished to a high standard at various locations.
