Stunning view of oceanfront atop cliff and, the view from outdoor onsen (gender separated) was absolutely breathtaking.. seeing the ocean splashing against rocks just few feet away as you bathe watching the sunset.. a must experience for any avid hot spring fans. Area doesn’t offer many eatery choices, but if you’re driving a rental, there will be more options in both directions on highway 136\. You will get the full “ryokan” experience: Japanese tatami mat rooms, futons to sleep on, yukata to wear in and out of the bath, and even traditional wooden sandals to wear outside of the hotel. I loved the classic little touches - sweets and hot tea plus wet towels to greet us, hand written greetings from the hotel “kamisan” (owner) on our car each morning.
