Kantiang beach is definitely one of the cleanest beaches that we have seen in Thailand. We were fortunate enough to see why the beach was so clean. Some hotels claim to be something they are not but the Alama was what is said to be and more. The pool was amazing. The view can’t be beat. The staff is always curious trusting and helpful. I can’t say enough about the staff! They were wonderful, especially Nuk at the front desk who helped us arrange a transfer off Ko Lanta. The resort is clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served every morning and the view from the restaurant was great! Our cleaning lady was amazing! The view was spectacular, monkeys, crickets, birds and landscaping were lovely. The only suggestion I would make is that the Villa is not part of the resort and a long 1/4mile walk to the hotel lobby/restaurant and main road. If they put in a walking path that connected the Villa to the amazing Chill Grill House (excellent chill vibe great bar and pizza Swiss family Robsinson style) road that would be far better than the trek up to the Villa. Unfortunately we didn’t find it till our last night. Hotel picked us up and transported us for free from Ferry to Villa but charged $500baht to take us back to the ferry, they had other couples going. The Villa does not have screens and at night when you have lights on the bugs and mosquitoes come in. You can’t leave the windows open because of the monkeys. Thankfully half the Villa (the bedrooms) have A/C!! The morning sun was great. The only downside was the 114 stairs to get up to the room. Exceeded my expectations. Absolutely coming back here is I’m back in Lanta. Loved the area and hotel. Super quiet and comfy, plus very unique and situated in the jungle which I loved!!! My room was near the reception which was handy since some rooms are quite far. Breakfast was overpriced h recommend going elsewhere but nothing opens until 9am usually. Stayed here for 2 nights. the reception staff and all other staff we encountered during our stay were kind and welcoming. Also rented a scooter from them which was very easily organised. The room was clean and well appointed, you really feel like you’re sleeping in a treehouse due to the wooden structure of the room. So cosy and comfortable. Great nature sounds first thing in the morning. No issues with the bathroom; the shower was enclosed so no water leakage as other reviews have mentioned. Loved the chill out but underneath the room with the hammock and a beanbag (and overhead fan). The swimming pool is huge, clean and great for laps. The breakfast choice could be a little limited for some people but we love rice soup/congee so we were happy. ET son massage aussi. Beaux bungalows en bois typiques. Piscine surplombant la mer. Personnels au petits soins, comme dans toute la Thaïlande. Je recommande le scooter pour aller vers la vieille ville de Lanta et découvrir le sud, sauvage. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und der Service war grundsätzlich auch gut, bis auf 1-2 Kleinigkeiten. Das Frühstück hat uns nicht geschmeckt, weshalb wir auch nur 1x dort gegessen haben. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und die Anlage eigentlich auch. Nur bei genauen Hinschauen sieht man, dass sich z.B. unter dem Bungalow Müll befindet. Man kann für 250 THB einen Roller mieten, was ziemlich ein guter Preis ist für Ko Lanta, wobei man sagen muss, dass die Zustände der Roller (für europäische Verhältnisse) teilweise in schlechtem Zustand sind. Aber die Erfüllen den Zweck und man kann mit ihnen von A nach B fahren. Es ist in einer ruhigen Bucht, mit ein paar Einkaufs- sowie Essensmöglichleiten. Uns hat die Ruhe dort sehr gefallen, da der Strand überhaupt nicht überlaufen war. Die Unterkunft hat seinen ganz eigenen Charme. Der einstige kleine Nachteil ist vielleicht, dass das Personal und manchmal nicht richtig verstanden hat.
