The beach is not a swimming beach, you'll have to walk down to the Actual Lonely Beach for a whit sand beach, about a 15 minute walk. But the cafe at Warapura is right on the shore, and their breakfast was nice, but nothing to get really excited about. My first morning they had Eggs Benedict, which I was able to customize, the next morning Eggs Benedict had been eliminated from the breakfast menu. While I was there they were doing some minor crpentry which was kind of annoying, but they finished fast. The bed was comfortable, not too hard, and the room was ok, could use a paint job, the bureau behind the bed was all scratched-up. Rooms like these are frustrating if you want to do anything on a computer, they never seem to have enough electrical outlets, and wifi was non-existent in the room, which in my case was right next to the entrance, front desk and cafe. The balcony was huge, you could have played Bocci on it, but the torn apart pool table room next to my bungalow was an eye-sore, one I had to walk by every time I went to my room. ##### Jonathan Stayed 3 nights in Jul 2017 ### 4/10 Poor #### Boris, miami Feb 11, 2020 Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service Overall very bad experience. I booked the “cozy cottage” which is one of the cheapest options.. didn’t expect much.. but did expect more then I got.. it still cost some reasonable money.. this hotel is not for free and not $10 per night one.. the room is very small, there was no toilet paper in the room and no napkins.. to be able to use the toilet I went to 7/11 to buy toilet paper.. there was one small shampoo in the room.. no shower gel.. only 1 shampoo.. the place it should be kept next to shower was broken, so it just stand next to the sink and when you go to shower you need to put it on the floor. The bed is not soft at all and very uncomfortable. And when I got to this bed the first time a nice small cockroach ran from under the pillow to escape from me.. I was with a girlfriend and didn’t want her to start screaming and complaining.. so I turned her had the other way and talked to her for her not to see it and let it to escape, didn’t see it or any other again.. but still.. was not nice.. the breakfast also was not good to me.. did go to other place, I raver pay and eat better qulity food. Might be okey for some people, but I want it better.. Mycket rent och fräscht. Mycket trevlig personal. Boendet är inte absolut modernt, men det gör inte något eftersom det hålls efter. Hyfsat - efter thailändska mått - frukost, lite bacon, äggstation, en eller två thailändska rätter, yoghurt, flingor, rostbröd, frukt, sallad m.m. Enda som är negativt att stranden är 10-15 min promenad bort. Det är ju dock inte något som hotellet hymmlar om varför jag inte tycker det ska påverka betyget. I enjoyed my stay at Warapura tremendously. The staff were helpful, friendly and professional. The first room I was given had a problem with the a/c. I asked the second morning if someone could take a look at it and was instead upgraded to a new room with an even nicer view. Terrific! The restaurant is a great spot to watch the sunset and there is a DJ playing terrific music Wed-Sun to accompany the sunset viewing. The food is good as well. The location is great - an easy walk to the beach and all the other restaurants and bars around. I definitely hope to visit again! Most of the staff, from the always smiling front desk gal to the attentive restaurant wait staff, were great. Waterfront restaurant/bar was a great place to relax and the pool was a nice place to cool down without making a trip to the beach. The party scene is a short walk but the music can barely be heard at night. Terrasse et piscine parfaits, surtout pour le sunset. Chambre neuve, mais hôtel encore partiellement en travaux durant la journée. Plage à 10-15min à pied, tout à proximité pour se restaurer. Mention spéciale pour l'excellente Pina colada du bar ! Our room had the fridge hooked up to the same electricity circuit that is powered by your key so nothing stayed cold whilst we were out and the fridge and the whole room often had ants. The swimming pool area isn’t somewhere you really want to go especially as right now they are working on the surrounding rooms. You are about 10 minute walk from the beach and right next to bars and restaurants but they aren’t loud enough to bother your sleep. The room had a nice area to sit outside and a good big bathroom. The staff were all superb and make this hotel and restaurant, they were happy, polite and ready to help with requests. Breakfast was quite good with buffet style items and a bit of choice.
