"I was surprised by the size of the unit, I didn't realize how spacious and clean everything was inside. there were a couple of cosmetic items that should be addressed 1) when water from the shower pools on the floor in front of the shower it drains in a corner to the right of the shower and 2) there is a missing hook towards the top of the bathroom door. Other than that everything was Fantastic. I will definitely be back next year and will probably book there again."

"We stayed slightly off-season here (mid September). The complex was very quiet and we were lucky to have a third-floor unit with a nice view from the balcony and some of the windows. There are a lot of great recreational amenities in this complex, although not all of them were in top condition or well-maintained. Still, for the price we thought that this was a really good value. The complex is very large and nicely situated, right on the beach on the ocean side and a few minutes’ walk to the sound side and the Duck boardwalk. We really appreciated the indoor and outdoor pools, the Pickleball court, the hot tub, but there were also lots of other recreational options, like basketball and volleyball, corn hole, even outdoor chess. The apartment was nicely, appointed and clean, if a little dated in the kitchen and bathrooms. Still, for the money, it was large and had good flow. "

"HipNautical is a wonderful find! Sitting on the deck you feel as though you are right on the beach! The house was very inviting with a lot of little touches that arent provided in other houses - a sweet welcome gift, kitchen supplies, toilet paper, kleenex, and even flashlights for the beach at night! The streaming services were also a welcomed surprise and tvs in all the bedrooms was really nice. Vicki was very communicative throughout the duration of our stay. I would definitely stay here again. "- location is outstanding - beds are good and comfortable - House is in rough shape. While one can understand the nature of an older home and the quirks which come along with it, neglect is another matter. - Window unit ACs which are not visible in pictures and while they bring welcome relief, they’re not sealed properly and allow a significant number of bugs into the rooms when a light is on - broken beach chairs and other debris are laying around the exterior of the house - Mold and dust visible in multiple areas - Bathrooms- whew. One is not available for sitting as it is too close to the bathtub and also has a window AC unit next to it, which contains a plug but there’s no outlet visible for it to be plugged into??? Pro tip: close the primary bathroom closet door as it gets very hot and wastes the AC, only open it when necessary. Makes a big difference. We are very understanding people but the condition of the house compared to the condition in the photos do not match. It’s a good little house with excellent beach access, just know it’s not quite as charming as the photos depict. Something others have stated in their reviews also. "
