Family Vacay

We arrived on a Sunday and our top floor which is the main floor was HOT! It was set to 76 which was understandable because no one was staying there however the AC was messed up. We changed the batteries in the the thermostat and it still did not cool. We contacted Vacasa several times with no ETA on a repair. It got up to 82 degrees with all the curtains ands and fans going. This was very dangerous being that myself, my husband and toddler (1) were staying on this floor. This was also the floor we cooked on and dined so it made it very difficult to do anything on this floor. We had to moved downstairs which we did not have space for 2 nights. After several times reaching out to Vacasa they sent out a Vacasa rep to check and see if there was an issue. They verified it was blowing 86 degrees out on the top floor and sent out a vender hours later. We finally had working AC Thursday night for our week long vacation. We also reached out about what we thought was the washing machine leaking which we later found out was the AC all along as well. This must be an issue that has been ongoing as there was black mold all over the home. There were several bugs including cockroaches and spiders all throughout the home. The home had little to no cooking utensils or storage. I would not recommend staying here to anyone until these issues are resolved. We did enjoy the pool and the fact that it was dog friendly so we were able to take our Yorkie.

Relaxing Outer Banks stay

The pool was so nice to be able to go out back door to relax. Beach was a very short walk and never crowded. The neighborhood was quiet and never had any issues. The way the landscaping is around the homes in neighborhood it gives a ton of privacy. Also has an elevator for anyone that needs that help or to get bags from 3rd to 1st it was a nice surprise.

As soon as you walk in the filthy and stained carpets are hard to miss. The kids walked barefoot on the hardwood floors for 15 mins and their feet were black, after that we made them wear shoes the entire time, even in pajamas. 1 bed was missing sheets and pillow case , we called and texted customer service they said the crews were done for the day and we would get sheets at some point the next day (monday) . We found a trash bag full of dirty sheets and towels in one of the closets. The washer machine DOESN’T WORK, the outlet is broken and the washer keeps shorting out so it would fill with water and then cut off. We found old towels still on the towel bars, someone’s under wear under a dresser, vents covered in dust. We brought all this to the attention of some one from the cleaning crew that dropped off our sheets (monday) he explained the house only gets deep cleaned once a year which consists of dusting fans and vents and moving furniture.. but that didn’t explain the dirty towels and sheets and filthy floor, we asked for someone to clean the common area (kitchen and living room) which we were promised after speaking to the manager.. by Wednesday we haven't heard from or seen anyone. We reached out to the manager again only asking for a cleaning fee refund . The manager was very reluctant and insisted they needed to talk to the cleaning crew even though we sent a lot of pix , the manager eventually agreed to $287 refund which we have not received yet. Pool was nice.

Family vacay

We had a full house last week! The location is fantastic, and the pool is wonderful. However, there’s some minor fixes that would majorly improve future guests experience. The master bathroom door did not lock. The Master bed on second floor was painful to sleep in. The washing machine in the laundry room worked when it felt like it. Took hours to run a single load. There are zero amenities in the kitchen. No salt/pepper, no hand soap for the sinks. Kitchen was very unorganized and the floor was sticky. Old macaroni was stuck to the pot holders. It’s a nice, big house with lots of space, just needs more attention to detail.

Our stay was fine. The location is probably the best part of the property - very short walk to the beach, but away from the busy road. The house, however, could use some updating and maintenance. As soon as we arrived, the check-in code did not work, and the other options that Vacasa gave us also did not work, so we had to wait until they called us back about 10 mins later to enter. The place had been cleaned, but there are just maintenance items that need updating: the carpets are stained and dirty, house smells like dogs and is musty, the ceramic toilet paper holder in the main bathroom was broken and off the wall, and 4 out of the 7 chairs in the dining room were broken - two completely, one with a leg that was ready to go any moment, and I almost fell after sitting on one for a moment and it almost collapsed (I'm 130 lbs). We messaged the team, but they said they would check / they did check / or they would check in the future. We used chairs from the deck for the rest of the trip. I paid over $400 to heat the pool only to find that the heater was never even on. Then when we turned it on, the LS symbol was on, indicating it was defected / low gas. Again, great location, not such a great house.

So-so

The home itself needs maintenance. Lots of fixtures are just falling apart. The carpet was really nasty. The floors on the top floor are very uneven. Some of the boards on the front decking are loose and a trip hazard. The washer is rusting from under it. Otherwise a nice, quiet private spot for vacation in an established nrighborhood. Easy entrance into the community via atop light. Not a lot of dishes or utensils. Neiboehood has lovely walking/biking access. Pool is nice and secluded. The bathrooms have very low toilets with the exceprion of the top floor master. The furnishings just werent the best. Very unstable dining room chairs. Slidimg screen door on rop level was laying on the deck when we arrived. The "service fees" and "other fees" are rediculous and not disclosed what they are for. On top of the that cleaning fees and taxes. We had a great time but this place needs attention.

Trash Galore

We arrived to a very dirty carpet, bathrooms not cleaned properly and the worst of all broken bags of garbage spread across the front lawn. Twice we texted (and sent pics) the management company and we’re told someone would come out and clean it up. No one ever showed in the five days we were there. Overall the house was ok, but we were soured on the property from day one and that never changed.

Great location for a walk to the beach and chairs and umbrellas at the house to take with you. Pool is great with some noodles and floats available. Lots of room inside with all of the necessities. Plenty of hand soap, bath towels, dishwasher and laundry detergent. Didn’t need to contact the host on our trip! Would stay again. We didn’t use it but there was an elevator that went from the ground level to the main level with an accessible shower.
