Coffee to Cocktails is the perfect home for your family, located minutes to the picturesque village of Duck for restaurants, shopping and more! The Village of Duck has a park area, with activities galore planned for you and your family. Tuesday AM's at 7:30 AM you can engage in Tai Chi (free), on Thursday AM's at 7:30 AM they offer Pilates (again this is free), as well as a Summer Music Series on Thursday evenings beginning in July. Gather the family early on the morning of the 4th of July in your front yard to enjoy the best 4th of July Parade you have ever witnessed.

Coffee to Cocktails is beautifully decorated for the most discriminating guests. Located in the charming Ocean Dunes community less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. Enjoy the ocean views from the decks, late afternoons, you'll want to face the Sound for the beautiful sunsets of Duck. When you decide to go to the beach for that day in the sun, there is a beach cart to accommodate all of that important equipment to make your beach day just marvelous. Large fenced in yard. The beach is just 400 yards away.

Coffee to Cocktails has plenty of room for all of the family, four bedrooms generously provide sleeping arrangements for parties of 11. Dining room table is an 8 ft table, that will seat 10 people comfortably. Bar in the kitchen has four bar stools, the perfect place for the young ones to enjoy their snacks. PS2 Guitar Hero game in the loft area. With three levels, the family can stretch out for private times as well as gather in the great room for occasions that will surely generate fond family memories of your trip to Duck and Coffee to Cocktails which is just a hop, skip and jump away.

This house was just perfect for us! Four of us stayed. Many more could have. We had THE BEST time and even plan to stay at the same house next year. The house was clean, well-equipped, within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and boardwalk on the sound side. Best vacation ever! Can’t wait to go back.

Nice place

The house was clean and inviting and very nice. Easy location for the 4th of July parade and beach walk and shopping. The tv in the master bedroom didn’t work and the one in the other bedroom was parental controlled with a code. The cupboards were packed full of items so you had to keep groceries on the counters. I was able to condense a little to have 1 drawer and a shelf but that was just annoying. I also reached out 3 times the week of staying starting Monday (so 5 days before check in) to ask if we needed to just bring sheets or all bedding and no one got back to me until day of check in.

Great location (for all the spiders who live there)

The property was sizable, had everything we needed, and was within walking distance to everything we needed. The only problem was there were more spiders in and around the house than I'd ever seen in my life. I noticed this was a theme wherever we went, so I'm not sure what that was about, but yikes.

House was practically perfect

The PROS: The house was clean and well-appointed. The furnishings were lovely. The AC was the best I have ever had in a beach house rental, and lots of ceiling fans. The beach gear was plentiful and useful. The hot tub was perfect. The outdoor shower was great for cleaning off after the beach. No bugs inside the house. The decks, especially the rooftop deck and the hammock chairs are just great and the kids loved them. The shops, dining, ice cream and donuts nearby were just great. The walk to the beach was pleasant and no roads had to be crossed. The CONS: There were plastic covers over the mattresses. I am a "hot" sleeper and I would wake up every 20 minutes or so feeling like my skin was burning, quite painfully, every single night there that I slept under the covers. It kind of ruined the trip for me because I could get no sleep without sleeping on top of the blankets (and then I got cold at night). None of the other 6 people in my family had the same problem, and no one else has mentioned it, so I doubt many people have to worry about it. The biggest issue that we all had was the traffic. Route 12, in Duck, is very bad. It took us roughly three hours to get from "the bridge" to the house on check-in day (probably about 10 miles). During the week it was so bad that we despaired of turning left onto 12 out of the neighborhood and would try to only do activities for which we could turn right. That traffic, and an oath made during this trip to never again stay north of the bridge, is the only reason we will not be staying at this wonderful house (or anywhere in the Northern OBX) again. The last CONs are easily fixed: there was no recycle bin in the house (so we had to pile recyclable trash on the counters of the kitchen until someone wanted to go downstairs and outside to the outdoor bin); and all of the cabinets in the kitchen that were not already full with dishes, etc., were sealed shut for some reason, so we had to store all of our non-refrigerated groceries out on the kitchen counters, which made a beautiful kitchen just always look cluttered (along with the recycling). Extras - the management's app was very nice and useful. I would like to stay at one of their managed homes again. CONCLUSION: If you can stand the traffic nearby (and maybe it will be better in future years), this is a great, great, beach house to stay in.

Good clean house, great location

House was clean and well stocked both with kitchen supplies and beach supplies. Loved the screened porch for extra seating and the garage for storage. Everything was well maintained.

The check in was easy and realty company was welcoming! Out TV cable was out for the first 4.5 days so that was disappointing! The bottom 2 bedrooms weren’t up to the standard of the two other bedrooms. Lots of kitchen dishes, glasses, silverware and cooking items. It is a very comfortable house that we enjoyed.

Disappointing

Check in could have been info emailed or texted to me. No keys. Just a code... The property was covered in spider webs and spiders...I have a reaction to spider bites so I was terrified. My husband spent about 2 hours sweeping off decks, spider webs and the out side furniture. It was filthy. I spent 2 1/2 -3 hours cleaning the kitchen small appliances, rearranging the drawers and sone cupboards so it was logically organized with pots, pans and lids were all together in one place. The same for the others. Silverware, utensils, colanders, etc. Were just thrown in any drawer. Wouldn't have known what was there to use if I hadn't. The small appliances were filthy. Couldn't use them until they were cleaned. The internet didn't work at all, thus affecting the TV channels. The house phone was just static....couldn't use it for local calls. Fridge icemaker is broken....no trays to use instead. Then upstairs in the MBR closet was a Bissell carpet cleaner that had been used to clean up dog pee and then THEY NEVER EMPTIED IT!! So the whole closet stunk like pee!! We bagged it and moved it to the garage and then used resolve on some stains and disinfectant spray galore. The ceiling fan in the living room didn't work with the switch....you had to use the remote which wasn't listed anywhere in the info. It is quite a hike to the Beach. No parking near the Beach access. Then on top of a 2 day trip to get there.....we were evacuated because of Hurricane Dorian. We had no TV, no internet and found out about Mandatory evacuation by reading a sign downtown while walking our dogs!! No text or phone call from any one until 10:30 p.m The Realtor sent out a text for Mandatory Visitor evacuation the next day starting at noon. Just felt like we were duped by the owner, VRBO and the Reality Company. I reported all issues Saturday shortly after Check in. NONE were addressed due to Monday Holiday and the Hurricane. Very frustrating!! The decor is decent and some cute beachy touches. After persistent calls to the Reality Company...we did get some positive news. Because of the lenghty list of issues and the evacuation we are getting about a 3% refund. .I appreciate the effort to reimburse us something. It should have been much closer to 50% of what we paid.....don't think we would use this owner or realtor in the future. 😕

Great house for big group!

This easy-to-rent property served as a perfect “overflow” house for our large family’s vacation. We needed a supplemental property to fit everyone, and this property easily housed 2 adults and 7 kids. The location is very convenient to the Scarborough Faire shopping complex, and has fun amenities like a hot tub and roof deck. There was easy parking and convenient electronic locks. The home was very well-maintained and we’ll supplied. Coffee to Cocktails is a “winner” in every regard- and a perfect sound-to-sea rental.

Great place

Very clean and the garage was stocked full of things for the beach, including a wagon. Only thing that was bad was the wifi didn't work, there was no internet. Also the recycling been was never emptied, was full when we got there. Not to take away anything from this place. Lots of room, great location and a very fully stocked house. Thank you!
