Pros: Close to restaurants and shopping
Cons: Additional front desk staff
Upon check-in, we found the bathroom had no shower curtain, this was rectified within an hour. The cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful as was the front desk staff when you could find them. When checking out, the night shift clerk had left but the day shift person had not arrived. We waited 45 minutes and we were then asked by one of the more senior cleaning staff if the receipt could be emailed as the Front Desk clerk still had not arrived (this was 9:50 am). I still have not received the receipt.

You get what you pay for

Pros: The friendly cleaning staff
Cons: Customer Service-nobody is ever at the front desk and you can hear the phone ringing & ringing. Rooms need upgrading.Bathroom needs a good cleaning.
Location: The location is excellent. Lots of places to eat and shop that are in walking distance.
This hotel has some very friendly cleaning staff. They were able to assist me when nobody was at the front desk...which happened often. Tried calling down to front desk several times and all it did was ring non-stop. Not great customer service. The hotel looks ok when you walk in but the room was quite old and outdated. No fan in bathroom. Room smelled very musty. Bathroom was dirty.

Average hotel, close to the Cambridge Mall.

Posted 24-Sep-2015
Pros: It is an average hotel, clean, comfortable room, close to shopping and the Cambridge Mall.
Cons: Nothing really, it is ok for a short overnight stay.
Location: It is right in the centre of the shopping area for Cambridge. Close to the big Cambridge Mall. Lots of shopping in the area, and good restaurants
Hotel room was clean. Parking for hotel was ok and well lit. Air conditioner was very noisy, kept clicking on and off all night, noise woke me every time it went on and off. Front staff was apparently a new staff member so I was told. She was not well trained and working on her own. Questioned me as to why I was checking in at 1:30, when Expedia had requested a 1:00 checkin. Took forever for her to figure things out, then she said my room on the second floor was ready, when I had requested through Expedia for a ground floor room. She did not realize that I had not paid through Expedia, even though I said to her that I had to pay for my room. An hour later she realized that she had not got a deposit from me. I had travelled that day was very tired, she phoned the room twice, I was sleeping, when I did not answer, came knocking on the door. She woke me up, I said I would be down in a while to sign the visa. Within half an hour another staff member called again, waking me for the 2nd time. I was not impressed. I got up and went to the desk to sign. All in all checkin was not a good impression of the hotel.

Travelodge in Cambridge

Posted 16-Sep-2015
Our party arrived to two rooms one night a part. Both of them had not been cleaned from the previous guests. We were quickly and apologetically upgraded to a newer suite that was cleaned and ready for guests. Hotel stay after successful check-in was great and included unplanned continental breakfast. Reception staff were professional and kind.

This place is BAD

Posted 29-Aug-2015 on Hotels
Ichh! Too much wrong with this place to know where to start. Run down condition. Funny smells. Broken lamp switches. No ventilation in bathroom. Maids took out old towels, left no replacements, didn't make beds, didn't replace EMPTY TP roll. Ai Carumba! Where do you start, indeed.

The amount of bugs...yuck

Posted 25-Aug-2015
There were bugs all over the room. When I told the person at the front desk they just shrugged their shoulders and said there was nothing they could do...

Extremely accomendating

Posted 24-Aug-2015
Pros: The staff was friendly and genuinely cared about our experience.
Location: We were going to the African Lion Safari and it was less than 20 minutes away.
When we arrived we were told our room was on the second floor. I asked the hostess Meg if there was a first floor room available as we had a daughter in a wheelchair. She said unfortunately no. I asked about an elevator...she said they didn't have one. I asked how many stairs there was? She said too many for you to have to go up with her, she asked me to give her a minute. A minute later she told me she moved some things around and was happy to give me a ground floor room. She definitely went above and beyond and we truly appreciate it.
