Cindy was very sweet and had turned the lights on when we ended up not being able to arrive until late due to traffic accidents. It is a basement apartment and an old house so you will hear what goes on upstairs but we didn't mind. The only down side I would say is that occasionally there were really strong whift of cigarette smoke. If you're sensitive to smells like me it's best to bring an air purifier. Extremely clean and well organized. Water pressure in the shower is good even though you would not expect that for a basement apt. Lighting good, except for one lamp in the corner, everything worked. Iron, ironing board, washer, dryer, everything you could ask for. Water jugs in the fridge and extra bottles too. Cutlery, plates, etc all available. Mattress seems to be a futon and is very firm, which is how I like it. A little cool but an extra heater and blankets helped.
