Kirkjufell Guesthouse and Apartments

"The building and rooms were very clean and well-kept! Our twin beds were VERY firm— too firm— maybe it’s just the way most guests prefer their sleeping facilities, but they were uncomfortable for us. There were 5 bedrooms on the second floor… plus one bathroom (WC). Our hostess admitted she didn’t speak good English, which is fine— and there was a sign saying there were 2 showers and 3 WC (toilets). However, we could only find ONE WC which was on the 2nd floor, and one shower on the first floor. A posted map of the layout would’ve been so helpful, as we couldn’t find 2 of the WCs. That part was VERY inconvenient! Although it was clean and well-kept, the lack of direction on the showering and toilette facilities would prevent us from staying again unless forced to—due to everything else being booked up. All said, the kitchen was clean (included a dishwasher) and well stocked. Very easy to prepare a decent meal."

"Very basic room but very clean. We were lucky that the staff was there when we checked in so we did not have to go through the Internet to get in. There’s a nice well equipped kitchen that shared by all the guest. A fridge stove, dishwasher everything you need."

"Couple travelling from Canada, we enjoyed our stay at this property. It is self check in via lock boxes which made timing easier. We stayed on the second floor of the hostel (stairs only if that is an issue for you), and were pleased with the separate shower and washrooms. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. We would stay again."
