Outside the hotel was lacking in curb appeal, choice of 4-6 big ashtrays right outside the front door is gross for non smokers, landscaping could use some help. Dog yard s possibility?

when we arrived police officers arrived as well about a burglary complaint on a parked vehicle.Staff and upgrades they made were great but there was a roach crawling out from behind our headrest and for that some didnt sleep well.

The room, carpet, and bathroom appear to be new or newly renovated. The complementary breakfast was terrific with multiple choices of omelettes, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, pastries, fruit, and cereal. Only downside was some construction nearby and was a little noisy till 10PM

Unfortunately our room smelled rancid when we arrived. Carpet needs a good cleaning. I informed the front desk i used a plug in- sprinkled carpet fresh and sprayed frebreeze. We stayed in the room since plugin subsided smell a bit and needed to be gone early.

It was really dirty. The trash by the ice machine was never changed the entire 4 days I was there. It was very smelly. The whole hotel was just dirty

On Saturday check in a woman clerk was about to leave from the recovery relief young man. She awaited Us and was very pleasant and professional. Introduce the young gentleman if we needed anything. This Holiday Inn was nice and very convenient to our needs. A large group of Dove hunters were rooming as well and the young gentleman was prompt to our needs. The hot tub wasn't working which was a huge bummer yet we managed with the pool. Our room was at satisfactory too! I will be coming back to this location in the future!

The staff where very friendly, but the room was far from what I would expect from a holiday inn stay. Room was out dated, carpet was ripped with stains, restroom tub was rusty tile floors where stain along edges like it hasn't been scrubbed for long time. Room had a very musky oder. Found a sticky mouse glue board full of dead bugs, spiders, crickets earwigs and roaches . Also identified mice dropings behind the bed and back edge of mattress, which i did not tell my wife because i would be looking for a another place to stay if she knew. I'm a licensed pest control and termite manager for a large corporation so my observation are on point on pest activity I found. I hope all my findings are corrected, so others don't experience a stay wich is unsatisfactory and not up to standard. I did not want to bother staff at the time of my stay knowing I'm just needing a bed to sleep and did not know if i switch to another room, If it would be any better, so i just keeped quite. Untill now.

Rooms were not done being cleaned by check in time. We were given room keys to 2 rooms, Abe of which was not yet clean. They did however offer us a suite for our trouble so that was nice!

The gentleman who checked me in was super nice and helpful with all my questions. Other than that construction was going on but they seemed to care as much as the staff did about how careful and quiet they worked.

I booked 2 rooms. One of them had a leak which flooded the carpet in front of 1 of the beds. 2 of our 3 night stay was in this room. The hotel did finally move us the last night.

Staff was great! Food was Great! The room on the other hand, floor was stayed wet all night after it was cleaned and the room felt humid wet throughout our stay even the bed felt wet. We tried adjusting AC and didnt help any. The smoke detector needed new batteries sonwe heard churping all night. We understand it was under construction and everything else didnt bother us. Room 309

Customer service was good. When we checked in nice young guy checked me in with no problem. And when checking out lady was friendly when I requested a late check out. The room 202 was a little creepy because it was another door to connect to another room that seem someone could wal in and we can see under it. When I called to ask front desk if someone was next door they assured us no one was but we slept with the bench behind it. Other then that the location was good for us to travel to Texas A&M University for my daughter regionals.

Holiday Inn needs help.
The Holiday Inn Express was overall nice but the rooms were really worn down. Mildew smell was everywhere. Wallpaper was stapled to stay on the walls. AND we had bed bugs. Still sterilizing and trying to salvage luggage. Do not recommend. Sadly choices are few in Alice, TX
