It’s exactly what I had hoped for! Perfectly situated near the ferry with a beautiful view of the water. My first impression when entering was that everything was new and well kept. The furniture was well placed and very comfortable. I loved having my coffee in the morning and looking out the windows at the water. There are two bedrooms on the main floorwith their own private bathrooms, and both again were very up-to-date, clean and very well kept. The third bedroom is located downstairs almost basement like. This space is almost like a small apartment, which I found perfect for added privacy. It has its own living room area, TV, separate bathroom and of course the bedroom. We didn’t really get to explore outside too much in the immediate outside area of the house as we were there for a wedding, but I noticed lots of people walking in the morning on the pedestrian path in front of the house which separates the house from the water. The only drawback is the property has only two parking spots. If you have three vehicles, you will need to find a parking spot along the street somewhere. All in all, I highly recommend this property! I, my daughter and granddaughter enjoyed staying here to attend a wedding. It was perfect. The view of the water, ferries, Mt Ranier and Seattle skyline in the distance was an unexpected bonus.The cottage was immaculate. Decorated tastefully and up to date on everything. The gliding chairs were a special treat to sit in to enjoy the view from the porch.We could walk to town and there is a walking path to enjoy the sound. There is ample parking for 2 cars behind the property in the alley way. There is "NO" parking on the street in front of the property. The best part of the property is sitting on the covered porch watching the boats and Ferry. The weekend we stayed at the property had beautiful weather with a little bit of fog in the mornings. We enjoyed being able to walk to the Ferry and the restaurants nearby. The empanada's at the nearby "Argensol Kitchen" Restaurant were really good, very authentic. We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property for a long weekend or short stay. Details about the trip, door codes and basic information was sent and received +/- 3 days prior to our arrival. It would have been nice to have this information sooner to coordinate travel plans with the Family. We sat on the porch for the majority of the time we were there. Whether it was watching the ferries travel back and forth, seeing the eagles flying around, or catching glimpses of the hummingbird and bunnies in the yard, it was so relaxing. The neighborhood...very walkable with great places to grab coffee, drinks, food. Don't be surprised to see a couple of deer as you walk around. :) The house...very clean and well appointed. There were ample towels, kitchen supplies; they even thought of the little things, like boxes of tissues (I can't tell you how many rentals we stayed at that didn't have any tissues to be found) and even some board games. I would definitely stay here again! The following are not complaints, just suggestions we'd like to pass on to the owners: Installing a shade on the side of the porch, to help provide some shade as the sun is rising, would be a really nice touch. Replacing ceiling lights with fans that have light kits in the bedrooms would help circulate the air. ##### Linda B. My family and I stayed at the Kingston cottage for two nights. It is very clean and just as described. We were told we were the first ones to stay since the new deck and cover or installed. They are very nice. Unfortunately it rained on our day there so even though most of the deck was dry it was a little exposed to the weather. Other than that the kitchen was stocked with supplies, there were numerous board games, and everything was very comfortable. The property management made it easy to check in and also check to see how our stay was going and if there was anything they could do for us while we were there. It was very appreciated.
