This home away from home is made up of two separate buildings each with their own entrance as they are not connected. The larger home has two bedrooms with king beds and a pull-out sleeper sofa in the study. Each room has a full bathroom. The apartment over the carport has two bedrooms each with its own full bathrooms. The large windows in the living room and the dining room of the larger home allow you to have a gorgeous view of the lake constantly. The open space kitchen allows for plenty of room to cook those delicious family meals! Spend some family bonding time by playing card games at the game table, or watch a movie on the wall-mounted flatscreen TV. Enjoy your meals with an unbeatable view thanks to the convenient outdoor dining area overlooking the lake. This house is a true work of art – the elegant touches through the interior of this getaway provide rustic charm, the sleek and comfortable furnishings will truly help you relax in style, and the jaw-dropping cobblestone wall where you can find the flatscreen TV is something out of this world. What's nearby: Take advantage of the lake and have endless water fun! Fishing is allowed along the retaining wall and from the pier. Rent a boat at one of the numerous boat rentals like Splash Boat Rentals. Stop by Wave Chasers and rent some fun water gear! Try some local cuisine at one of the many restaurants in Kingsland (less than two miles away). Of course, do not forget to shop for souvenirs. Go on an adventure and see some underground hideouts at Longhorn Cavern State Park. Things to know: Lake access Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter situations with wildlife/pests. Please be aware of your surroundings, take caution while driving at night and supervise your children at all times while outdoors. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control maintenance on a regular basis, BUT this does not guarantee pests/bugs/critters will not be visible. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Dock details: Boat dock is available. Guest will have to bring their own ropes to tie to dock. No lift is available. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. This is actually a beautiful piece of property. The unfortunate things for us were that the description of the property lists it as 4 bedrooms but neglects to mention that it is two separate buildings. Next door is a rundown old motel. Checking into the main house was simple but there was no code given for the upstairs second unit. After two phone calls with customer service we were given the correct code for the upstairs unit. It looks like we might have been the first people to stay in awhile because the property needs a good spring cleaning. Half the hanging lights in the kitchen were out. The under counter lights flicker. Cobwebs inside the house and the windows need a thorough cleaning. The great room is beautiful, The kitchen is large and the bedrooms in the main house are large with very nice bathrooms. The main house could easily rent as 3 bedrooms as the game room has a full bath. The large windows overlooking the lake were a favorite feature. The property is easy to get to, grocery store is just a few minutes away for last minute items needed. We stayed here with small children and there aren't really any items available for them (pack n play, high chair, any games, etc.) so expect to bring all that with you. We ended up all bunking up together in the main house as the apartment above the garage is very closed off - not really any windows (def no views of lake) and the furniture in the bedrooms is really too big for the space so it felt very cramped compared to the main house. The rooms below are very large and spacious, but furniture is a bit on the antique side (cabinets full of glass items, etc.), 100 year old piano/organ - which wouldn't be my preference for our three toddlers but the large open kitchen and bedrooms were great. ##### Richelle B. The check-in and check-out process was simple. The water in the backyard was a good shallow depth (4ft at most). The water was cold but still enjoyable. The slab was only 10 mins away. Fishing from the dock was not good, very minimal activity but was still very relaxing and easy to cast. The ac is multizone setup, so the master bedroom tends to get very cold. that's worth keeping in mind when deciding on who sleeps where. The master bathtub had hot water issues, but since we weren't using it we didn't complain. The main living area has wood flooring, which was quite dirty. Our toddler had black feet after running a round a few hours. This appears to be a common complaint based off the reviews. A few minor cleanliness issues include, cobwebs in the upstairs apartment. The fridge leaked some water but was not a major issue. The PM was made aware , but I offered to postpone maintenance until we left. Overall we loved the place. beautiful house, nice kitchen, awesome sunsets. We had a very relaxing time. It's also a short drive from San Antonio. The local HEB is also 2 min drive and there is an HEB that delivers to the house. Side note, the local bait shop appears to be anti-covid19 mask, as he asked me to take it off when I entered his shop and he didn't wear one while I was there. ##### David U.
