A throwback to the simple vacations of yesteryear, this waterfront cottage on the shores of Lake LBJ is a place to swim off the dock, barbecue in the Texas sunshine, and dine on the grass in the shade of the trees. This single-level, lakefront home is located on the northern shores of Lake LBJ, on a grassy piece of property with its own dock on the water. As you come back up the grounds from your morning swim, you'll be greeted by central air conditioning, free WiFi, and a window-lined sun room where you can kick back on the sofa, watch Netflix on the flatscreen TV, or simply take in the beautiful lake view. You can prepare an afternoon feast in the classic kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a circular dining table for four. Or, head out back to light the gas grill, throw on a few steaks, and dine at the table in the grass. Things to Know Full kitchen Two dogs are welcome for a nightly fee No washer/dryer Smaller dock is broken but you may use the larger dock that is in front of the larger home. Sleeps 4 comfortably Please note that this area is subject to renovations and we are never notified as to when they will begin or end, therefore no refunds are given due to construction noise Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter situations with wildlife/pests. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control maintenance on a regular basis, BUT this does not guarantee pests/bugs/critters will not be visible. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Dock details: Private dock available for guest use located in the backyard of home.Smaller dock is broken but you may use the larger dock that is in front of the larger home. Swimming is allowed. There is no boat launch available with this dock. Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). House is small but cozy, perfect for a couple. The area is pretty much as expected with many homes around, easy access to the water and not too far from town. However, as clean as the house was in the obvious areas, better cleaning was needed in corners high and low, around windows and under cabinets beds and tables due to cobwebs. The patio furniture was covered in bird droppings and spider webs. I also felt that someone from local cleaning/maintenance crew came into the house without my knowledge on two separate occasions, but when I called number to VACASA to report this, they investigated and reassured me that no body had come into the home although a large pot with a strainer was there on day one and had disappeared on day two and the house smelled strong of fresh mothballs on day three when there had been no smell prior to that. I liked the house and location but I would consider something else because of the uncomfortable feeling we got that someone may have come int while we were out, twice. ##### Efrain H. Our dog, Hubert, had an absolute blast and was able to run around play in the large fenced yard. The house is located on a quiet street and is on the water. We stayed on a holiday weekend and watched fireworks from the backyard, as well as people boating and playing on the water. The owner is the sweetest and checked with us to make sure we didn't need anything. It's a great little place with beautiful views. Aug 2, 2025 #### Just Beautiful The great location on. the water.was special. The grill lighter issue was disappointing. Then also the grill was dirty. This place could not be more perfect. Beautiful yard, great view of the water and the dock is in great shape. Our dogs loved it and even seemed more relaxed. The kitchen was great, enough room to cook your favorite vacation meals. The place may not be new but it’s super clean and cozy. The bed is extremely comfortable and it was so quiet we slept great. Cottage was charming but lacked expected provisions (no salt or pepper, there were no games or reading material, the grill's ignitor didn't work but with call to your service a lighter was provided 40 minutes later. The peace was not there , with construction next door. And not expected real tranquel setting was disturbed by a great deal of boat & water sports equipment on the water. This was very much so with a boat landing immediately across the water. May be much better at another time of year when young vacationers wouldn't be so very present. ##### Robert S.
