"The room was pleasant enough and fine for the money. The downside was not having food available at the inn. It would have made it an excellent choice if pub food was an option and it is actually quite inconvenient to not get a breakfast."
"Really nice place to stay. Big comfortable bed, lovely big bathroom with two hand basins. Breakfast made to order was delicious and great continental selection - cereal, fruit, toast. Parking available.
Owners were able to recommend places to go for dinner."
3 bedroom accommodation in Hope Cove, near Kingsbridge
8/10 Good
"Clean and good location. Hot showers and well equipped kitchen. Double mattress is a bit soft, ready for replacement soon. Also directions to get to the property could need a bit more detail."
Stunning views from one of the best located cottages in Devon
10/10 Excellent
"Always a joy to stay in this unique home. Probably the best weather we have ever had in Hope Cove over the May Bank Holiday week, producing some extraordinary sunsets across the bay. For other visitors please note that the Lobster Pods don't open until late June, so the Cove and the Hope & Anchor were super busy. In fact, the latter was turning away anyone without an advance booking... The Cove was inundated with takeaway orders by those choosing to stay on the beach in the Mediterranean-style evening weather. Bantham beach and car park looked like the halcyon days of the 1970s when we visited on the Sunday, the overflow car park was almost full and the beach was teeming with activity. Wonderful to see, We prepared a lot of our own food, stocked the fridges with a variety of drinks and had the best seats in the whole area, sitting on the terrace in the glorious evening sunshine. We also had a visit from a pod of 4 dolphins swimming past the Shippen Thank you again"
Beautifully situated comfortable cottage and pottery, a perfect holiday base

"An amazing find. Hosts excellent and very helpful for things to do in the area.Great for pets as the hosts have a large field we were able to use. Very small patio and patch of grass next to the house but is overlooked by the hosts. Not a big issue but would be nice to be a little more secluded surrounding area is beautiful, lots of places to visit.Wouldn’t hesitate in booking for a second visit."
"A truly memorable stay. The suite was delightful. Would have preferred a separate shower cubicle as well as the bath. The service was excellent and dining was a joy. Would recommend this special hotel to all."
350m from beaches, pub and charming village of Hope Cove
8/10 Good
"Fairly small apartment, but nicely decorated, comfortable and very well equipped. Big picture windows looking on to garden area, so light inside. No sea view, but walking distance to the beach (except that my mother is 100 years old and couldn't have managed the walk back up, but we expected that).I had a bit of trouble finding it. My satnav took me there but I didn't see the signage at first, and with no mobile signal I couldn't bring up the email with the written instructions. So believe your satnav and keep the email tab open! The kitchen was very well equipped, the sitting room area comfortable and the bed so comfy I was reluctant to get up. Good size shower. Communal garden area with beautiful roses in the hedging - smelled divine. Sunny field with a seat where we could drink our evening g&t and look across the valley. The host replied very quickly when I messaged with a query. My overall experience was very good and I would go there again."
Converted barn. Shared pool, tennis, snooker, games, golf, grounds. South Devon

"Well appointed property, fantastic location and great facilities on-site. Reasonable parking in courtyard a little way from the property. Only slight downside was intermittent broadband, which was only a problem for our group due multiple individuals to trying to work during our stay. Have booked again for next year"
