Local OS maps were specially helpful. Be warned that you can't drive from Castle Acre back home through the ford, but its a lovely walk. We've mostly gone camping until now so, by comparison, this cottage was luxury. I'm not sure how we'd have felt about it otherwise. It was fairly clean, as long as you didn't look behind or under the furniture (2 chunks of broken glass under the table was the worst thing). And it was good value for money but only because we'd used our Tesco Clubcard vouchers. It was tiny - our garage is bigger - but very cosy, with radiators everywhere. It's good that we were both on the slim side. Plenty of equipment as long as you didn't need to use the microwave, perched dangerously on top of the wall cupboard in the kitchen.
