It was a nice touch. The owners of the property were kind enough to provide Christmas gifts to the grandkids.The home was furnished modestly. The home was advertised as being able to sleep 8, there was 1 king size bed, and 3 queen size beds, but the livingroom sat 6 and the dining room table sat 6\. Of the 4 beds, 3 were comfortable enough to sleep in, the other not so much. It was so concave in the middle, no one could sleep on it.And in my opinion, when it come to renting a VRBO home for 6 days, you should be able to control the thermostat, without having to ask the "homeowners" for permission. And them when permission was granted, and the A/C was turned on, the temperature was governed by the homeowner and would not drop below 72 degrees. Having a direct line of communication with the homeowners was just awkward and intrusive on a lot of levels. The home should have been equipped with hand towels and kitchen towels. Paper towels are great when camping, but not when you are renting a home. But if you are going to require the use of paper towels, please provide larger trash cans in the bathrooms. Again just different. I don't know how long these homeowners have been on VBRO, but I've rented all over the U.S. and have never ran into these issues.
